Everyone is trying to negotiate.

We’re in the regular season. The Dallas Cowboys literally play a regular season game on Sunday, as do the Seattle Seahawks. All of that being said, no one knows what’s going on with Earl Thomas.

Thomas has been holding out for a new contract the entire offseason and it doesn’t look like much is going to change on that front. Tuesday night on NFL Network the one and only Ian Rapoport provided some clarity on Thomas, after an update on Pittsburgh’s Le’Veon Bell situation, and put a bit of a price tag on things.

Ian notes something that we’ve heard before, but hearing it again and hearing it so close to kickoff in Week 1 helps reaffirm it. The Cowboys are willing to give up a third-round pick, but the Seahawks want “a second and change.”

Who knows what this “change” is at this point. I’m sure collectively we’ve all got plenty of quarters and dimes to throw at the cause. For now we know that the Cowboys and Seahawks each have a price, plus that the Seahawks and Thomas really haven’t been negotiating much as far as a contract over the course of his holdout.

Will one team blink before the other? That’s been the question all along.

I would try a 3rd in 2019 and a 4th in 2020 the most would be two 3rd's

ET only needs like 2 days of practice and his nose in the playbook. He knows Richards system perfectly. PLUG AND PLAY.

How many conditional picks will we have in 2019 after all the horse trading ends? Hitchens will be one. Any others? Use a conditional and a third round pick and stick to it. If ET sits and doesn't play, maybe Caroll comes to the negotiating table. If not, Seattle can keep their disgruntled player for the year, I'm sure that will be great for team morale

But what kind of shape is he in? Even if he's well conditioned, he's not in football shape...he's had no contact since last season. It'll take him a little bit to come up to speed, no matter who he plays for.

true...he would get a set number of plays..like a pitch count. By week 3 he would be fit stay stay out on the field full time.
