The Cowboys will likely be facing the Bears backup quarterback.
It looks like Jay Cutler will not be available when the Dallas Cowboys take on the Chicago Bears this upcoming Sunday night. Cutler was injured in last night’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The quarterback hurt his thumb and the organization is reportedly looking at a prolonged absence from Cutler.

There are reports that Cutler actually damaged the ligaments in his thumb in Week 1 against the Houston Texans, but tried to play through it. The injury is something that should have kept him out three to four weeks according to team sources.
Cutler was 12 of 17 for 157 yards before leaving the game. He threw a crucial interception right before he left the game that set up the Eagles for an easy score.
Brian Hoyer came in and went 9 for 12 for 78 yards in mop up duty after the game was already getting out of reach. Hoyer started his career in New England but got some starting time in Cleveland and in Houston the past couple of seasons.
