BTB: Ryan Williams turned down 10 NFL teams this year

I'm sorry I'm not buying this.....I would really like to see the list of these 10 teams....once again I'm not buying it. makes no sense

I know Arizona was one of them. He has very hard feelings against them though.

You didn't watch him in preseason then. Williams is a much better runner than randle. He just can't block or play special teams like randle. Gone over this a million times.

This simply isn't true. The running game has been dominant because of both Murray and the offensive line. Murray's patience and ability to fight through tackles adds to the running game's effectiveness. If you think the next running back is going to be as productive you're going to be sorely disappointed.

I mean the dude could break 2,000 yards. Saying it's all because of the offensive line is ludicrous.

Murray has more yards before contact than most backs have total yards

Preseason means jack squat? You can get a good sense of what a player can do in preseason. Tony romo's coming out party was a preseason game against seattle. Did you watch any of his carries in preseason or no?

I'm thinking (hoping) Stephen and JJ will go all in on the defensive side of the ball this offseason. They can't afford to pay DM29 and upgrade key positions on defense.

Williams is a similar sized back and arguably a more talented runner then DM29. He'll be cheaper than DM29 without much of a dropoff - other than pass protection. I think he can fix that through film study, knowing the playbook, technique, and effort. He should hang out with Emmitt this summer.

Randles ability to play special teams is a large reason why. Its not all about running ability..

And Dunbar's. They tried Williams doing Dunbar's role on ST and Dunbar was better at it.

Several factors:

1) Cowboys drafted Randle. They have more money invested in him.
2) Special Teams Play. This is Randle's trump card over Williams.
3) Playbook. Randle's been here longer, so he is more ready to spell DM29. (another trump card)
4) Murray only missed like 1 game. Given Randle knows the entire playbook, it is easier to insert him into game plan
5) Randle had a few splash plays this year and has shown improvement (which plays into factor #1)
6) The Boyz needed other players active moreso than Williams. Remember, we have a lot of holes to fill. RB wasn't as big a need to address.
