BTB: Ryan Williams turned down 10 NFL teams this year

Of course teams came after him after what he showed in preseason

And this was not behind the starting OL. That’s what has me intrigued with him.

Several factors:

1) Cowboys drafted Randle. They have more money invested in him.
2) Special Teams Play. This is Randle's trump card over Williams.
3) Playbook. Randle's been here longer, so he is more ready to spell DM29. (another trump card)
4) Murray only missed like 1 game. Given Randle knows the entire playbook, it is easier to insert him into game plan
5) Randle had a few splash plays this year and has shown improvement (which plays into factor #1)
6) The Boyz needed other players active moreso than Williams. Remember, we have a lot of holes to fill. RB wasn't as big a need to address.

until I see Murray out there taking snaps tomorrow, I'm not sold on him playing tomorrow. I think the staff has done an excellent job with him practicing.... to throw a nice smokescreen tomorrow.

If you are talking about Williams, he won't play tomorrow. If the Eagirls lose tonight, neither will DM29.

Well if Murray walks he has a real shot to start here pending another good offseason. Its not out of the realm of possibility for him to excel behind this line.

Ryan knows this line is awesome and if he bides his time he may benefit financially greater down the line. It is a calculated risk on his part but something has to be in the cards for him to stay here on the ps.

i have no idea why they haven't, but in my opinion i think Murray is done for the season, I also think he will attempt to play get hit on the hand and re-injure it some more.

You should already have heard about whether Murray is considered likely to play. Is Randal Willaims on the 53 man right now? If the answer is no then I expect Murray to be active tomorrow. They probably need 3 RB active, but I doubt they want to lose a DT or LB for Williams at this point in the season.

You have to sit Murray this week and bring up Williams. In a big game like this we can't go with just 2 rb after Murray plays 2 downs then realizes he can't go with out fumbling.

We can't afford that with the pieces we have to address on defense. We are willing to bet our Oline is the reason our RB(s) are good. Not necessarily plug n play, but murray could be replaced and we could have a 1200 yard rusher next year and not pay that salary.
