Think of it as correcting an oversight.
Every year there are some perceived snubs when the roster for the Pro Bowl comes out, and this time around one of the most obvious ones was the omission of Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee, who was later rightfully selected as an All Pro. That error has been corrected.
Sean Lee has been named to the 2017 Pro Bowl, replacing Luke Kuechly. This will be Lee’s 2nd straight Pro Bowl.

This was a development that was not difficult to see coming. Luke Kuechly finished the year injured, and was not expected to be available. Given the games he missed at the end of the season, it was probably an emotional fan vote that put him in over Lee, and now both of them have received some recognition. Lee will be joining fellow Cowboys Ezekiel Elliott, Dak Prescott, Tyron Smith, Travis Frederick, and Zack Martin, as well as the Dallas coaching staff. We would all have preferred to see them otherwise engaged that week, but since that did not work out, it is good to see the best defensive player on the roster getting this well-deserved recognition. Lee led the Cowboys with 145 tackles this season.
