Here’s what Tony Romo had to say today about the QB situation.
Tony Romo finally broke his regular-season silence today, addressing the situation at quarterback.
You can watch the full statement on video, here.
He didn’t take any questions at a press conference, instead he read a statement. He left the press conference immediately after reading the statement. Of course he said he wants to be out there competing, but that Dak Prescott has earned the right to be the quarterback, as tough as it is for him to say that. Watching him speak, you can tell this is very tough for him, he appeared a little emotional. Here are parts of the statement pieced together.
Todd Archer
Speaking for the first time since suffering a compression fracture in his back on Aug. 25, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo said Dak Prescott has earned the right to be the Cowboys quarterback as he reads a prepared statement. He's called the injury filled season "soul crushing," and he has felt guilt about being hurt. He said he will continue to support Prescott and not be a distraction to the team.
Tony Romo's prepared statement lasted just about 4:53. It was emotional, heartfelt and to the point.
