A mocking we will go....

Mock draft season is getting into full swing. Today, SB Nation has new mock draft out that goes two rounds instead of the normal one, adding another layer to a team's rebuilding plans. In this draft, the Cowboys go with a cornerback (we think) and a linebacker, Certainly two positions of need for Dallas.

The pick at #4:

4. Dallas Cowboys: Jalen Ramsey, S/CB, Florida State
This top four is starting to settle in. Ramsey turned in a really good season at corner for Florida State last season, but is a much better player at safety. Wherever a team like Dallas chooses to put him, he'll star.

I don't hate this pick, but only if Dallas sees Ramsey strictly as a cornerback. If their scouts determine that he is going to be a star at that position, then pull the trigger. But Dallas doesn't need another corner/safety hybrid, they have that in Byron Jones, although the hope is Jones gets moved permanently to safety where he could be a star. Ramsey is certainly worth a top-5 pick billing at this juncture based on what we've seen on the field. He's got all the physical traits you need although he'll need to bulk up a little for the NFL grind, but many college players have to do that.

Here's some film on Ramsey although you don't get to see too much of him

In the second round the Cowboys go linebacker:

34. Dallas Cowboys: Darron Lee, LB, Ohio State

The scouting report you usually hear on Lee is a fantastic athlete who made a lot of plays at Ohio State, but there is worry about his strength and his ability to take on blockers at the NFL level. A little undersized for the position and may not be ready for the physicality of NFL football.

Here is Lee against Michigan State.

As usual, hit up the comments and let us know what you think about these picks.
