As unlikely as it sounds, with three weeks left in the season, only seven teams have been officially eliminated from the playoffs.
With three weeks remaining in the regular season, the suspense continues to build as only seven teams have been officially eliminated from the playoff race so far, six of which are NFC teams: The Giants, Rams, Buccaneers, Vikings, Falcons, and Commanders are done for the year, while in the AFC, only the Texans have been eliminated from playoff contention.
So that still leaves 25 teams competing for the postseason, of which only three - Denver (playoff spot), Indianapolis (AFC South) and Seattle (playoff spot) - have clinched a postseason berth. That leaves 22 teams battling to keep their playoff chances alive or to clinch a playoff spot. Should make for interesting games this weekend.
Last week, in part because the Cowboys defense took to the field, there were 104 touchdowns and 859 points scored, both the most in a single week in NFL history.
This week the Cowboys host the Packers in a matchup of two of the most inept pass defenses in the league. Both teams are allowing 7.8 yards per pass attempt this season, good for 27th and 28th in the league respectvely. Expect a lot of touchdowns in Dallas.
