The Cowboys' playoff odds are improving with every win. How many more wins will they need until they're a playoff lock?
The the game against the Browns on Sunday will mark the halfway point of the season for the Dallas Cowboys, and if all goes well, the Cowboys could emerge with a 7-1 record after the weekend.
The fine folks at FiveThirtyEight.com have looked at all teams since 1995 and concluded that the Cowboys' playoff chances would increase to 94% with a win against the Browns.
More importantly, as the graph below indicates, a win on Sunday would put the Cowboys in position to lock up a playoff berth in the Week 10 game against the Steelers: 100% of teams with an 8-1 record have made the playoffs since 1995.
Our writers like the chances of a Cowboys win this weekend. Here's how we think the rest of the Week 9 games will turn out.
