The Pro Football Hall of Famer shares the most important common denominator with all of us... he loves the Dallas Cowboys.

Jerry Jones is about to be a Pro Football Hall of Famer.

This isn’t true because a group of voters got together and said so the weekend of Super Bowl LI. It isn’t so because Jerry Jones put the NFL back in Los Angeles. The Dallas Cowboys are literally the most valuable sports team on earth and even that’s not why.

Jerry Jones loves football. He loves the NFL. More than anything Jerry Jones loves the Dallas Cowboys, and that’s what makes him a Pro Football Hall of Famer.

I don’t mean this literally, of course, it takes a great list of accomplishments to earn a bust in Canton, OH; however, Jerry Jones personifies the spirit of a Pro Football Hall of Famer in every capacity.

People love to say that you either love or hate Jerry Jones, but if you’re one of us it doesn’t matter what people think. Because if you’re one of us, you’re a Dallas Cowboys fan. And if you’re a Dallas Cowboys fan, you’re Jerry Jones.

The truth is that at heart Jerry Jones is just the world’s biggest Dallas Cowboys fan, he just happens to call the shots and sign the checks. He’s just like one of us, if one of us was loaded and awesome enough to get Justin Timberlake to perform a private concert in our honor.

At some point in your life you’ve either said or heard someone else say that you would do anything to see the Dallas Cowboys win the Super Bowl. Shockingly, this isn’t a sentiment that every professional sports team’s owner shares, but Jerry Jones does. Outside of other blessings life can offer in the form of family and friends, Jerry Jones wants a Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl win above all else.

The world will see Jerry Jones entering the Pro Football Hall of Fame as an Owner, President, and General Manager. Us though? The ones that have sat and rooted, wallowed and cried, screamed and shrieked through the last almost 30 years?

We’ll know Jerry Jones enters the Pro Football Hall of Fame as the biggest Dallas Cowboys fan there is. One of us, one of us all the way.
