Let’s all hope so.
It’s been 10 years since we celebrated the last game at Texas Stadium, a horrific loss on a Saturday night, of all nights, to the Baltimore Ravens.

Some quick math will tell you that since 2008 was the last season at Texas Stadium that 2018 is the 10th season in AT&T Stadium (although not the 10th under that name, but the point stands). The Cowboys are about to have been playing in Arlington for a decade.
We’ve seen a lot happen since America’s Team switched home addresses. They’ve switched homes between Sundays with their move from Valley Ranch to The Star, won three NFC East titles, and said goodbye to many franchise icons.
“Jerry World”, as many affectionately refer to it, has played host to plenty of marquee events over this stretch. We’ve seen plenty of big-time Cowboys wins, two playoff victories, and a divisional playoff game. Of course, many would say this isn’t enough for a team with the expectations that the Dallas Cowboys have.
Much has been made about how little of a home-field advantage AT&T Stadium is. As it is one of the more luxurious stadiums across the National Football League it has become a bit of a tourist destination for fans of visiting teams and so as a result the venue hardly boasts the intensity that places like Arrowhead or CenturyLink do. Ultimately the Cowboys have been somewhat mediocre throughout their “new” stadium’s history.
The Cowboys are 37-35 at AT&T Stadium. In the past five seasons, the Cowboys are 20-20 at home, good for 20th in the NFL.
Jason Garrett likes to say it doesn’t matter if a game is home, away, in a parking lot or on the moon -- execution matters. Considering the lack of home success, maybe he might see if Jones can schedule a game on the moon. Or a parking lot.
It leads to a simple question: Does winning lead to a home-field advantage or does a home-field advantage lead to winning?
Dallas has been a better road team than home one in the seasons that they’ve had success in recent memory, and the only thing AT&T Stadium is particularly known for as far as levels of intimidation is the amount of sun that peeks through the endzone windows during afternoon games. Will 2018 be any different?
The Cowboys host games against the Giants (this Sunday), Lions, Jaguars, Titans, Commanders, Saints, Eagles, and Buccaneers this season. There are fan bases there that travel well and others that don’t get the opportunity to visit the Cowboys save for every eight years. In a season following the NFL Draft itself being held at AT&T Stadium, will the Cowboys have a real “home-field advantage”?
