You can't win'em all. BP did guess right on Larry Allen - out 2-4 wks with a injured knee. LA is done - put a fork in him. The body just gets too old at some point. Good guy, though, and I wish him the best (just not vs. the Cowboys).

My favorite part was when AB was called for a personal foul for taunting the defense after making a catch when his team was down by 10 points with 30 seconds left to go in the game.

It was almost as classy as when he dunked the ball over the goalposts after catching a meaningless touchdown late in the game when the Cowboys were getting blownout.

AB's carreer has been all about one good game and then 4 where he will disappear ......

This means nothing.

And Bryant's stupid penalty might have cost the 49ers the game.

his career is about making catches and catching TDs when the game is over.

then taunting the other team.

AB has talent, no doubt about it.

But he and Sean Taylor, for all their talent, will make a bonehead play when their teams can least afford it.

And that's what you DON'T need.

Yeah. He totally pzown3d that vaunted Cardinals secondary.

And then personal fouled them out of contention.

Bravo.

I like Bryant....had a respectable season last year.....could put up a 1000 yrds receiving this year.

Everyone makes mistakes in games costing possesion or 1st downs.....how many drives did Adams cost us in his career for false starts?....our OL has been pathetic expecially in crucial times in the red zone.

Did Roy Williams cost us the game with that spear to Leftwich?....did our rookie TE cost us the game with a pic on TO first down reception?

Did our pro bowl TE....need to push off to get open? on his TD....which was called back because of PI?

Everyone makes mistakes......and u can point to alot that changes games.

And those are mental errors, trying to gain an advantage.

Taunting is a different thing entirely.

no, it means every 4th game someone will find it necessary to bring it up as if it's a mistake OR gonna make a difference.

i REALLY wish people would learn to let the meaningless crap go.

I think all you need to know about Bryant is this. Bill Parcells traded him for a lesser talent to get him gone. Cleveland decided it wasn't even worth offering him a contract after having a 1000 yard season, when the other WR's are Edwards and Northcutt. And then the main team trying to, and signing him, is San Fran who traded its top WR.

Bryant is a loser. Hes fine to be the #1 on a bad team, but he wouldn't likely deal well with being the #2 or #3 on a better team.

And so far, with these two Bill did get it right...

AB may just turn out to be someone some day, but it was no mistake trading him.

Thank you.

I can't get mad at a player trying to do what it takes to win, which is the category I would place Witten's and Roy's (he was trying to lay a hit on a quarterback and possibly make him gun shy) mistakes. But mistakes that aren't related to game effort, and those that come in the waning minutes of the game when you're trying to win are sheer bonehead plays.

AB made ABonehead play, typical of him.

some others of note:

Ekuban had another sack
Glover had 5 tackles and a couple of QB pressures
Shanle and Fujita each had 6 tackles and Fugita had an interception

I guess once you gain a reputation it just follows you, because IMO that so call taunt wasn't that it was a response to the late hit he recieved way out of bounce, it should have been a personal foul, put I guess his reputation caused him that flag.

It wasn't so much is reputation as the fact that he had be been jawing, trash talking and borderline taunting with the CB the entire game until the ref actually had to step in and reign in the situation. Besides, you can point out a penalty without sticking your finger in the guy's face after the catch.

Didn't see the entire game so I'll take your word on his behavior earlier in the game but, I still say the personal foul should have been called on that play he was at least five yrds out of bounce when the CB threw him down.
