So since we still at the moment in the playoffs, is it safe to assume we root for the Panthers for tie breaker purposes with the Bucs if need be down the road?

Yes, we want the Panthers to win. Tough order considering the Bucs have a solid D and Jake has been playing like garbage. The Panthers have done well running the ball though. We shall see.

We could actually root for the bucs to win.
If you look at Carolinas schedule and Tampa Bays Schedule, the panthers have harder games and could lose 2 out of the last 3 or all 3.
After tonight Tampa still has Atlanta, San Diego, and Oakland
Carolina still has Denver, NYG, and New Orleans.
If carolina loses tonight I could see them possibly losing out.
You could also say we have the tie breaker against Tampa, but looking at their schedule they may just lose 1 out of their last 3.
So its not safe to say that we would end up with the same record as tampa.
So its kind of tough to chose who we want tonight, an argument can be made either way.

I myself have been rooting for the Panthers all year b/c the Eagles have their #1 pick. Heck-if they win the Super Bowl, I wouldn't shed a tear either.

If we win out, it's better for us if Tampa Bay wins tonight.

If we lose one more, and the loss comes against Baltimore or Philadelphia, it's better for us if Tampa Bay wins tonight.

If we lose one more, and the loss comes against the Giants, it's better for us if Carolina wins tonight.

So unless someone can tell the future, it's difficult to know which way we want tonight's game to go.

I don't know how the Panthers lose tonight but a loss would make me feel better. Though that Falcons loss was pretty good yesterday. Hurts we couldn't have gotten that win and gained some ground.

Since my boy DeAngelo plays for Carolina I will be rooting for him but couldn't care less who wins. :laugh1:

One of them has to lose(ties don't exist, right? :laugh1: ), and we should be alright with that!

If you had to bet on who we will eventually need to win who would you go with?

Im worried we could drop any of these next 3 games because they are all so tough.

This game has become irrelevant. Which ever team that doesnt win the division is still gonna get the #5 seed cause we're not catching em.

If we go 2-1, it's not irrelevant.

I went to U of M...DeAngelo is THE MAN. I posted on carolinahuddle.com about ten weeks ago that he was as good as Adrian Peterson...everyone for me most part thought I was crazy...has proven, however, to be about right...man is awesome!

As I said on my first post here...Cowboys missed out by not drafting him...

Tampa is 2 games up on Dallas. They may as well just win out because that would knock ATL down another game.

God, you just gotta love it. Rooting for other teams just to give your own team 1 more possible loss.

I kind of wish tampa would win and carolina would get bumped from the tournament.

I would love for us to get in and get a chance to to go tampa. I think they are the most overrated team in the league. they have played some suspect quarterbacks.

but that fact that we need all the help we can get makes me root for carolina tonight.

So we shouldn't care? I really dislike the Panthers.
