Antonio Bryant called out ESPN's Emmitt Smith and Trent Dilfer for depicting him as a player with "off-field baggage" during Monday night's loss to Carolina.

"I'm a real person and that bull---- Emmitt said on the TV about 'get my life right'...Dilfer mentioned something about getting my life right outside of football. Last time I checked, man, don't be a hypocrite," Bryant said. "A lot of y'all can't really walk on the same side of the street I can walk on and still go put on a suit. So remember that, before you disrespect me."

You know, Emmitt was a great player but is just horrible as an analyst.

I side with Bryant on this issue

Emmitt and Trent are football analysts, not Dr. Phil

if they have a problem they feel Bryant should correct in his life outside of football, they can call him and tell him directly

Ummm... Emmitt was right.

And Bryant just proved he's still a moron.

He's a football player who gets paid millions to play football. Criticism comes with the territory. If he doesn't like it he can go back to sitting on his couch. And its not like they're wrong. Emmitt saw it 1st hand and the fans did to.

Gotta side with Emmitt and Dilfer on this. Antonio do something in the NFL. You have been an underachiever for your entire career. What has he been on 4-5 teams so far in his career. And what does he mean 'don't be a hypocrite' I don't recall Emmitt or Dilfer doing something wrong outside of football.. Antonio Bryant is a dummy plain and simple.

What does Emmitt talking about Bryant's off the field baggage have to do with Emmitt being a horrible analyst.

I liked him as a player but dislike him as a person.

I don't know if anyone heard it, but for the last few weeks DC.com has had a segment with Darren Woodson. The other day on the longer audio-only show (not the video with Eatman), he was telling the story about Bryant throwing the jersey at Parcells. He actually said he didn't blame AB for getting so upset, because he was having to run all of the scout team routes plus the regular stuff on offense over and over again and was getting completely worn out.

Why was he having to do that? Because Keyshawn refused to step in and help him out any. And even Terry Glenn wasn't doing much. AB said something to the hotheaded Todd Haley, and the shouting match was on. Then Parcells came over, and AB hit him with the jersey. Woody said he doesn't think AB tried to hit the coach -- he was throwing it on the ground and it sort of stuck to his hand and hit Parcells.

But even Woody said it was BS that he had to do all that himself. Sounds like Keyshawn was taking his own vet day off. Who knew?

How are Dilfer and Emmitt wrong on this?? Bryant has a documented history - one of which had him traded! I'm sure tons of players have had bad attitudes and incidents, but only a handful have actually been traded away or cut because of it. You'd think once that happens, you wouldn't have a leg to stand on if someone criticized you for it. Bryant just made himself look like an idiot with that response. He's rich now, he should have no reason to be walking on "that side of the street" to begin with.

Just in general. Emmitt doesn't get players names right and he has a strange language when he gets talking like he did when talking about the pATS.

Ok that's fine but that has nothing to do with what he said about Bryant. I just don't know why you felt the need to add that he is a horrible analyst in regards to this situation.

He continues to have issues and still doesn't realize it.
