If the ends of the stadium are open how will there be no wind factor?Gryphon;2777381 said:http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/ne...79444C91BC7BF7
"If I hit it well, it's going through the back of the end zone," Buehler said. "When we get to the new stadium, I predict I'll have 80 percent touchbacks. With all the intangible things, with no real wind factor, I think I can get to 80 percent."
My thoughts exactly.Yeagermeister;2777384 said:Let's not get carried away :laugh2:
I understand why they did it, but I hate it. If it helps the team (as Folk clearly did) I will try not to gripe too loudly (as I don't about Folk). But I can't say I am excited to carry two Kickers. Like I said though, I do understand it.Bleu Star;2777390 said:
His affection (or lack thereof) for kickers cracks me up. Did Hos ever reveal to everyone what his thoughts were on the Buehler draft pick?

the kid is saying 80% of his kickoffs will be touchbacks. also don't they kickoff from a shorter distance in college?DallasEast;2777562 said:College football field: 360 feet long by 160 feet wide

How can Buehler be overrated? Did Pete Carroll have him kicking with the wind all the time?

theogt;2777567 said:Some quick math had him at 55% touchbacks in 2008. That's impressive. You'd think he could improve on that with time. If we could get 60+% touchbacks, that'd be a fine draft pick.
one a game, how about just one touchback. than we've already made progress:laugh2:kmp77;2777582 said:ANYTHING is better than Folk's 0 touchbacks for 0%!!!!!!!!!!!! One a game would be amazing.

Good point. He had 66% of his kickoffs pinned within the 20 (including touchbacks). This number could be higher, actually, because NFLDS didn't include "within the 20" stats for every game, so I only counted touchbacks for those games.Cowboys22;2777577 said:He also mentioned how he had many kickoff go 7-8 yards deep and still be run out. Thats not likely to happen in the NFL. I think 60% is realistic and maybe higher in domes. No question he has the chance to have a great impact next year.
I think he and the team would be very upset at him only doing 30%. I'd say anything less than 50% and he's underperforming.viman96;2777592 said:So the highest percentage last year was 34% and he thinks he is going to aveage 80% :laugh2: He should be happy if he averages anywhere near 30%.
