Lol...how heavy was that rock (sleeping). Just kidding...yes he was absolutely great and still does not get the credit he deserves, IMHO.

Sorta before my time :)

I knew of him... Seen some video.
Fastest man...
I know of the Olympic gold medal and sb win. (Only player)

They did a segment and mentioned what I posted.
He was fastest #2 and Darrel green was #1 = crap.

I saw Bob play but I still think Tony Dorsett was the fastest man to ever play the game. And don't try to tell me Green ran him down from behind, Green had an angle.

I never bought the angle argument... And Green split two defenders to get Dorset.

Isn't the shortest distance between two points a straight line?

Dorset running straight to end zone.
Green chasing down Dorset at an "angle"(not a straight line)..... Hmmmm....

Hayes was faster!

Hayes was obviously faster than Dorsett (and Dorsett was obviously no slouch). I'll bet Deion could run down Dorsett in his prime (no pun intended) too.

ok, that was random

Yeah it was lol

Figured you could put 2 and 2 together.

Before Bob they would man cover him. No one could really do that effectively. So... They put a "zone" on top of him and/or further back than that. = zone defense was born.

By playing so far "off" of Bob... They could throw to him and could probably gain 10-15 yard each time.... If not more.... = screen pass

Moss was pretty good to speed wise, I still remember going to see his debut at Texas Stadium where Woodson had the angle on him and he still outran everyone.

I think once he got up to speed, Moss was probably top three all time, speed wise. That dude was a deer.

Does anyone remember when we took a flier and drafted Carl Lewis? Or got his option somehow, not sure if he was drafted per se...

we drafted him back when you had like 20 rounds. He never joined the team or played in the NFL

Can you imagine how awful he would have been? But I was young and foolish, I was pretty pumped when I first heard that. LOL.

Bob Hayes had a great deal to do with my initial attraction to becoming a C-boys fan. The way he left potential tacklers by the wayside and left them looking like they were wasting their time really sparked my excitement. There's no question but what he revolutionized the way defenses played the game, simply to keep from being victimized every time he touched the ball. He also became a great catalyst for Don Meredith's career as well.
