Yet All of the other teams were wanting the brothers out and made no bones about it.
Exactly, that should tell you something.
If you think the charger guys put the brothers against the lotus just because someone had to go against the lotus than you are fooling yourselves
First of all, I may be moody, but I do not have Multiple Personality Disorder so no need to refer to me in plural form.
Second of all, Like I said, you don't know the whole story. The T/A team had been helping out the Charger team a lot (with repairs and stuff) so they didn't want to put them against the Lotus. The F-150 team and the Charger team were getting along real well (Jason from F-150 is actually in New York helping out the Charger team right now for the real Bullrun). So that leaves only ONE other team to put up against the Lotus.
They did it knowing the brothers would lose the challenge
That makes no sense. No matter WHO they put up against the Lotus would of lost the challenge.
Nah...you see it how you want to see it but I don't agree.
I have more of the facts then you so ... yeah.
I know the charger guys would have done the exact same thing as the brothers did by turning them down.
Most likely. Mike (driver of the Charger) even said as much in his youtube video blog. He even said it wasn't so much that they said no, it's the WAY they said it that bothered him.
About taking care of their car. When it happend Alsop said they needed to adjust their timing and that was the problem and I take it he, alsop, adjusted the time because they were going to run again. I heard nothing about any other problem with them.
As I mentioned earlier, Alsop actually helped them frequently with their car.
So yes they were responsible for adjusting the timing and taking care of their car. Actually that was not the first time that car had stalled, If I recall it was a few shows back when the car stalled when they were starting out but it was a different problem.
Actually it was the same problem. New York is at sea level and that's where the carb was set to perform. They were about 7k feet above sea level so it started acting up.
Car problems are car problems but I did not see the brothers going over to people and asking for a re-do vs the lotus when their breaks were screwed up. I did not see them going over and asking to not do this last challenge when their brakes were screwed up. I did not see anyone offer to help the brothers until AFTER the charger guys stalled out.
Did you know that after the F-150 team broke through those blocks a few eps back they had to actually Stop filming a few days till they got their truck fixed?
Like I said, there's facts that you simply don't know.
Hey I just call it as I see it.
That's fine, I'm all for that. Problem is you aren't seeing the whole picture.
The car/crew that has had the most to overcome is the olds and the brothers because everyone else is against them. And whether you like the brothers or not they just keep on trucking with whatever the other teams throw their way.
And why do you think that is? Is it just cuz they are who they are? There's got to be a reason people are "hating" on them, right?
They're the biggest hypocrits on the show. Say one thing in front of the camera, do something else behind the camera.
Not only the charger guys knowing what they were doing by putting them against the lotus but also alsop lying about the time bonus to them.
If the Charger had put the ta against the Lotus would it be ok for Alsop to cuss him out and cry like a little b**** about it? What about the F-150 team? SOMEONE had to go agains the lotus regardless. What, did the olds team expect special treatment just cuz they're both from NY?
From what I've been reading, Rick was a real (somethign that rhymes with his name) the whole time. Andre was supposedly pretty cool until the lotus ep. There was absolutely no reason for them to react the way they did. And you say Karma did the charger guys in, well that's dumb because no matter what they had to put SOMEONE against the Lotus. So by your beliefs, the Charger team was gonna get bit by Karma no matter what they did.
If the brothers were talking more crap about people like you indicate but say spike is not showing than it must not be much of anything because if there is drama involved spike, like any network playing a reality show, is going to show it...that is what they would want to show.
They HAVE showed some of it. And they are NOT gonna show all of it. They do have to stick with the MAIN plot of the show, which is a cross country race. They can't show ALL the drama. I'm sure the dvd will show lots of behind the scenes stuff, but they can only put so much into a half hour show.
You want drama? Did you know that the Charger team was allowed to run the challenge again, but knowing it wasn't gonna count? They asked to do it again just to show they could do it. They ended up with the best time (that didn't count). This was mentioned in the Team T/A video blog as well.
So I don't buy it that there is a huge amount of stuff the brothers are doing that spike is not showing
You obviously have a sweet spot for them so of course you aren't gonna believe that.
With ALL of that said...I don't want the olds guys to win, I don't want the truck to win...heck I don't even think there should be a truck in the contest
Hey watch what you say about trucks, Bucko, I might have to go beat you down while you're in your cheerleader uniform.
I'm a texan with a Ford F-150... you know who I'm rooting for.
I want the Alsops to win because I like Firebirds, Transams and Camaros and I also think they are the best at navigation. Even though he is sneaky and a liar I just like that team the best
I wouldn't mind if they won either. Yes he's sneaky, but it's a race for 200K. You do what you gotta do. Hey, if the Olds brothers weren't so distrusting then they would of never gone for the time bonus in the first place. Even though Alsop lied (at the time) about him getting the bonus and it being the last one, he did end up being right (about both). So if the Brothers had just believed him, it wouldn't even of been close.
