Am i the only one who feels this way? I would much rather see burnett out there, he was my favorite rookie besides Ware of our entire draft class. He might be our best cover LB.

agreed that burnett is >...he has more experience as well and is much quicker than carpenter. Carpenter was listed as Raw by many draft mags and previews. I would love to see burnett opposite ware, but i think they will split time.

Burnett is not taking over for Ellis. Burnett plays on the other side and backs up Ware. Parcells also said that Burnett has been playing well on special teams, as well in nickel situations and he does not want to change two positions due to Ellis' injury.

Burnett has spelled Ellis on the left side quite a bit this season (more than any other player). That would indicate that he backs up Ellis to me.
