Just said on 103.3 that he had yet another bone chip removed from his ankle today.

I'm betting that means he doesn't play this weekend.

This guy is just about dead to me.

You sure it wasn't the staples? Because he had half taken out the other day and was expected to have the other half removed today I believe.

I dunno, they said another chip was taken out. I thought I heard that about a half hour ago, but thought maybe I heard something wrong, so I didn't post anything. Then they just said it again.

I hope they got some info wrong, because this is getting ridiculous.

I think it was just the staples...now they will just treat for any infections.

It was a staple. Lets give him a couple games before we dog him. I think he is going to have a great year.

Thats bad news. Burnett was really coming on strong. Is our best cover LB and flies around out there and can get after the QB some.

I think it was the other staple cl. he had one taken out yesterday and was supposed to have one out today.

I dont think he is going to play against the giants either way.

That is the way I understood it this morning when listening to talking cowboys. Clint doziel was talking about how it is a staple and not stitches and how he had one out yesterday and one scheduled for today, they got into a discussion about it being easier for the doctors to use staples and not stitches.....

Seriously we aren't talking about repairing anything, so from a recovery standpoint, aren't we basically talking about a small cut and some localized swelling?

Ice, anti-inflammatories and extra padding under the tape and I'd think he'd be able to play.

That doesn't make sense that he'd have separate surgeries for different bone chips does it?

I'm no surgeon but I'd expect that you'd want to do it all at once.

More likely it is the staples -- one was ready to come out and they likely wanted to give the other one another day of healing.

You'd think so, and I would hope so... But the first one was many days ago and he hasn't practiced since.

Thanks for the article confirmation, theo. Maybe 103 got their info from that article, and the article was wrong.

Climb down from the ledge guys.

Burnett (bone chip) had half of the staples removed from his ankle Monday following his arthroscopic surgery, and he says the rest will be removed Tuesday. Head coach Wade Phillips is expecting him back in practice sometime this week and has not ruled him out of Sunday's game.

I read the article, they were wrong I think...it was just staples removed...they were to do some the other day (maybe yesterday) and the remainder today...I am pretty sure they said he might be bale to practice later this week

Getting a staple out is not big deal at all. It just leaves two tiny holes like a real staple. They then put some anti-infectent and wrap it up...it bleeds less than a nose bleed.

The infection is the worse worry because of the locker room during practice and after games...

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

I would HATE to think that our doctors forgot to take a chip out while they where in there the 1st time---this HAS to be a staple
