A major jinx - so much so that it creeps into the 3rd round for guys like Peterman as well.

Of course, this is BP's fault and he should be fired.

Man, that stinks. I think this is the 2nd time he has torn an ACL now. He missed his junior year in college with a knee injury. There's no way you can count on him for next year now. Even if he comes back in 9 months from the injury, that puts him back at the beginning of October. Too bad.

At least, unlike the past, with a good rehab program, he can get back on the field....

BP said he should be ready for TC and also will likely be able to participate in the minicamps.

This is an injury that 100s of players come back from in all the major sports every year. Don't freak out.

i was really shocked when we picked Burnett in the 2nd. I follow the draft pretty closely but he wasn't on my radar at all. That 2nd round did fall right for us -- the round started with Pool and Bullocks still on the board but they came off quickly. When we picked I was screaming for Khalif Barnes -- lots of mocks had him as a first rounder. Barnes is starting at LT for the Jags now. Really the only misfire in a great draft (but Burnett gets another year or two to develop before we can be sure).
