by the last pre-season game we have to see improvement

Ok I see everybody is jumping into extremes with this pre-season. Some dont give a rats behind if Our team looks like garbage and others think the sky is falling. However, if by the last pre-season game We do no see a significant improvement in play and effort then there is a pretty good reason to be concerned. We have practiced crappy lately and our guys seem to be playing out of sync. And I dont like this hole camp cupcake stuff either, it concerns me a bit.

But that's beyond the point. Do you guys agree that we have tos ee improvemt by the last pre-season game not only in the game but in practice?

I think You are what you practice. I believe in that. I know some here dont but it is important weather you like it or not.

And I know this might piss people off but I'm saying it anyways. We were not ready for that playoff game. The Giants were 5 notches below us in talent but they were ready to play. They got ready and wanted it more. Coach Soft wade phillips needs to get these guys used to practicing hard and wanting to win. A SB is all that matters not 13 freaking pro-bowlers and nothing in the big game. And another thing dont mix it up here...I do like the season we had, it was a step in the right direction. but please dont throw away all this talent with poor coching. That is all that scares me. Switzer won with talent I dont think Wade can do it because on this team you need good coaching, there are way to many players that like to just go half speed at times and fold under pressure.

The 3rd preseason game is the one that the team and coaches find to be important. The starters will play thru the 3rd qtr and play hard. This is the most important game of the preseason if there's such a thing. The Boyz will be just fine. This preseason has no indication on how we play during the regular season. There's no hype or intensity during the preseason especially for the Vets. They're just trying to stay healthy for the real games. Again, it's just preseason. Relax!!!

Well, most of the time. We looked horrible against the Texans last year in the 3rd preseason game. In a way I was glad. After that game a Texan fan bet me that we wouldnt win 8 games. I won $100. He went off the 2 1/4 qts the starters played. We're at home this year so I hoping it will turn out a little different.

I don't understand it either. I've played 12yrs of football and the preseason was always just simply to prepare. We lost plenty of preseason games and played poorly in some of them too but when the lights came on and the games were real we played very well. The preseason doesn't carry the same intensity and seriousness as the regular season. It is what it is, and that's just PRESEASON.

Because it's how and when you build your team for the season. Do you think Ellis was yelling at his teammates last night because it didn't mean anything? Camp and the preseason is where you build your attitude for the season. And to me we are looking like Wade's attitude/personality. Soft.

Ask the G-spots, Iggles and foreskins if they think we're soft. The resounding answer is YES. Aven8 has a point: sucks to admit it, but he does. This isn't just the preseason. It's the same penalty filled, wrong guy sent on the field, shooting yourself in the foot crap that took place down the stretch last SEASON. That supposedly didn't mean anything either. Then we lost to the Giants............so, at some point you got to ratchet it up and show your team mentality and toughness. Not there now, but I'm hoping with all this criticism they'll get their act together. I kind of expect it actually.......

Actually, when asked who was the toughest team they faced last year, several Giants responded 'Cowboys'. Kinda shoots down your theory a bit.

I agree, however, that it wasn't seen towards the end of the year...a mistake no team can afford to make.
