By the look of things this is our remaining free agency

Signing Mike Vanderjagt (but I thought he didn't place kick, will McBriar do it?) I would really prefer Vinatieri, but as long as we get one or the other...

I still believe we will attempt to get Jerald Sowell. He is probably going to get slightly over the veterans minimum, I hope we offer him something that would convince him to come here rather than resigning with the Jets.

We're probably going to get Terrell Owens.

Hopefully we will get Keyshawn back, once he finds free agency to be less than attractive.

We're probably going to cut Larry Allen. I really hope we make a move for Stephen Neal. Although I guess Parcells is okay starting Kosier =/. The same goes for Tom Ashworth.

I think we're just going to draft a linebacker to play outside (probably keeping singleton, which makes no sense. would rather have had fujita). Lawson or Carpenter probably.

I don't know what we're going to do for safety, but Coleman is still out there. I was hoping for someone better, but he is still a huge upgrade over Davis. We'll probably draft a safety too, which means davis is probably out of here if he can't beat beriault in training camp.

Draft picks: Linebacker, safety, corner, receiver, tackle, defensive tackle, quarterback (if someone drops)

I'd much rather have Ashworth than neal. Ashworth is young, and not coming off an injury like Fabini. He could be our future at right tackle, and he doesn't seem to be getting much attention in free agency yet. Neal could replace Allen, and Kosier would be in the mix with Peterman to replace Rivera. We would have excellent depth on the offensive line.

Adams - Neal - Johnson - Rivera - Ashworth
Rogers - Kosier - Gurode - Peterman - Petitti

That is a huge upgrade over what we had going last year. If Adams went down Rogers, Ashworth, or Kosier could step up. If Neal went down, Kosier, Gurode, or Peterman could step up. If Johnson went down, gurode could step up. If Rivera went down (see neal), if Ashworth went down (see adams - ashworth).

We'd have only two players on the line over 30.

Last I heard Bucs were negotiating for Ashworth's services with his agent, but were concerned they didn't have enough cap room to sign him. Dolphins also very interested in him & also thought I see a report they beginning make move to sign him. But there is interest in him so don't see us getting him. At this stage, I think we lucky to get Fabini or Runyan while waiting to develop either a draftee or wait for Pettiti/Colombo/Rogrs/Tucker to develop into starting RT & 2 backups.

I agree for the most part, but I think Keith Davis stays. No way Parcells lets a special teams warrior like Davis go. If anything Willie Pile gets shown the door. Coleman is ok I guess, but it seems that his production is dropping off. I would really like to see some young talent at the FS position like Ko Simpson, who should be available at pick #18, but I suspect that we will take Manny Lawson there unless Parcells believes he will fall to the 2nd round. But outside of Ko Simpson and of course Michael Huff, there isn't many "coverage safeties" left, unless we pick up someone like Jason Allen (UT) who could be a great value pick up in the later rounds.

Fabini? Good Lord - you don't want him - He's worse than anything we have. go to www.GangGreen.com and look around about Fabini - most people feel he should retire.

didn't fabini fail his physical?

no but Tonuti did.

Fabs was here for a physical. He likely wanted big money and was told to what we would pay and to shop around if he wanted.
