Ill say this, our secondary particularly the first half of the season, had too cover for a longgggg time. Aaron Rodgers probably had more time to throw in the regular season game then he did in the playoffs

Not at all. He caught a lot of heat here last season, meanwhile he was one of the best things about our secondary last season. At least IMO

Being the best part of our secondary is like the being the valedictorian of summer school.

For me while he isn't at the elite level yet and his stats are less than appealing I think he was the glue and most consistent player in the secondary. he definitely has room to grow and should only to continue to get better. Especially if they fix the line and bring in some better talent to go around him.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Bit of a loaded question. By asking if he is a "bad" safety, you are not going to get a very accurate result.

He is okay, but we need better from him, especially from a turnover perspective. He has not been any different than the players that were let go in terms of making a difference.

All the other players are not getting as much praise by NFL commentators during games like He is.

For those that only focus on the other players around him part of my post...please do not conveniently dismiss those who call the game and talk about his play and others in the NFL who have done so as well.

I am not understanding what you mean and I am not conveniently dismissing anything.

My point was what you said about an individual player, in this case BJ, who you and I both agree is a good player, that if he played with better players around him he would be better.

I said that can be applied to any player, good or bad. It's a very general but logical statement.

That's like saying I will get wet if I walk outside in the rain without an umbrella.

Is Darren Woodson on twitter? If so, one of you guys need to set him straight.

That guy actually thought that Byron Jones was this defense's MVP! Can you believe that? I mean, what would that guy know about playing safety, right?

Jones is the secondary leader... I wish people would stop blaming him for that GB play SMH.

Watch again. Lost in space.

And where was our pass rush? Rodgers made a throw, on the run, to the sideline. He already came out and said that he took the other man. He made a mistake yes, but he shouldnt have been in that situation in the first place. One bad play doesnt make the rest of the season when he was good irrelevant

Basically. I feel like there's a lot of knee jerk because there were a lot of positive things said about his play early on,so miscues become confirmation bias against it. I'd absolutely love some interceptions, but he made more than a handful of deep pass breakups that were extremely athletic and instinctual. I really like him and think his best football is ahead of him. Seems to me like on this board you're either elite or trash.

Marinelli's "defense" is designed to take away the big over the top plays, that is no credit to Byron or Church. Half the the time they arent even in the playframe. When it mattered most Byron revealed who he is.
