Dez always said it wasn't about the money with him. It's about the respect. And yet his tantrum, and calling out Jerry for no reason was all about money. To players being the highest paid is what implies respect. dez was very clear about his desire for money. Suggesting otherwise is you arguing against his comments.
The Dallas Cowboys couldn't have been more disrespectful to him. They paid him almost 50 million and expected him to be in shape, make a full effort, and not act like a child. Pretty fair trade off that was not fulfilled by Dez.
I wish the fools would've at least got Sammy Watkins though so we'd still have our pick. And one wonders how much you would be singing the blues with the cap space Watkins would demand. Hindsight is a great tool for the voyeurs. Funny think is your complain is about the same front office that would be making the decision who to pick if they still had the first. Is that irony or sour grapes?
Watkins is average but at least we'd have our pick. See answer above.
Dez for 10 mill seemed like a lot but after free agency started it was clear that 10 mill was a bargain. Yet what he was going to make here for sloppy routes, petulant actions, and dropped balls makes ten million look like a K-mart blue light special.
