Hayden has done an excellent job on the early downs. He is penetrating against the run and we just need someone to step up with a little inside pass rush. Maybe Bass could be the guy

From what I have seen so far this pre-season on defense and all the different looks, I would start the first game against the Giants with the 2nd string defense, and still GATA.

The Hulk Ratliff was a one maybe a two year wonder,,,,its been all down hill every since he got paid and now he is nothing but a Toxic player.....Rather see the young guns than the TOXIC avenger..... IMO.Ratliff is done in Dallas but who no's maybe he can contribute something and earn part of his pay....this year

No, I dont think Jerry will cut Ratliff. For some reason Jerry is keeping him.....maybe its due to legal issue, maybe its due to money or the cap..... but there is a reason behind this and us fans may never now the real deal... Its just my two cents.....but Ratliff has been nothing but injured and a big DISTRACTION for this team.... Getting in Nasty fight with the OWNER and then getting a DUI shortly after what happened to Brent provides an insight to what this guy is...TOXIC...to me its like someone else said earlier, addition by subtraction.....love to trade him.

But I really enjoy watching these youngsters learn from one of the best DL coaches out there.... Rod Marenelli

You're crazy. The defense has performed admirably, but it isn't running on full cylinders without Claiborne, Ratliff, and Spencer. Hell even include Sims in that.

We're going to need these guys if this defense is going to get us where we need to be. The pass rush was still extremely suspect, and once we face offenses better than the Cardinals and Bengals... we're going to be a bit exposed without them.

Right now Ratliff is a lot like an enigma. You almost remember a time where he played and played well but then you wonder if it was all a dream. They may as well turn him into a mascot at this point.

You need Ratliff because of the rotation.

Hayden and Hatcher can't play every down and be effective late in the game.

If Josh Brent didnt destroy his career, Ratlif may have been cut as he would have had all season to prove himself. However I think Ratliff can still be a difference maker but if he cant get on the field this season he wont be around next year.
