Because that was a fumble. Stupid call refs - should have let it develop as a fumble and let it be challenged. At no point did his arm go forward. He pumped and then it popped out. We won, but man I thought that was a bad call.

Get the Nate Jones corner blitz just before the half...they said Eli's arm was moving forward, but it sure looked like the ball came out and then his arm came forward, and he basically slapped the ball.

I don't quite remember. It was the first time Spencer really got to the backfield. It was the play where he injured his shoulder - his sort of underhanded it to a player, but his arm never moved - thus fumble.
