They won’t be able to afford Dak in 2021 if he is the guy. That’s the problem. $38 million cap hit is too big when the cap may be flat or even decline.

This is to me clearly the truth about what is going on.

The players and the owners live in different worlds.

The owners are already taking a hosing in the pandemic reality and the players are about to get the shock of their lives with their multi-million dollars contracts.

Dallas is posturing to pivot away from Dak if needed and move on as profits nosedive.

The reality is that teams that can produce superior teams on less cap will be the big winners.

We got in just under the wire with signing everybody this off season.

But going forward, we need to be lean with the cap and save again for a rainy day financially.

We have a number of big contracts which is like money in the bank and can be restructured as needed.

The FO has handled things well.

Now the players have to play for the here and now.

The vast majority of our roster are being paid the max they can expect in the days ahead.

Finally,we get to know what type of team we have.
