Here's my question: does anybody know if teammates are allowed to help pay another player's fine? For instance, if Romo wanted to pay Lawrence's fine for him, would that be within the rules? At the very least, I'd think the highest payed players would be willing to join together and take care of a fine like this for the lowest paid guys. Heck, Romo's real estate taxes per month are probably higher than Lawrence's fine.

not sure, but i think it would violate his cap #'s. i know *jones* can't pay for it or it does have a cap impact.

Was it the hit on Harris's 90yd return? Collinsworth pointed out the hit. It looked like a clean hit, but w/ this league, you never know. A guy could fart near a ref and probably get hit w/ a fine.

Cause he blind sided a guy while moving towards his own goal line.

Having seen it again and watched the coach's film I'm surprised it wasn't a penalty. Moving towards his own goal line and lead with his helmet into the opponents helmet. It wouldn't shock me if this block is shown as an example of blocks they are trying to take out of the game. It fits that rule to an absolute "T".

Cleaner than the hit Tate put on Lee last season...I don't believe he was fined.

Was it helmet to helmet? I can't tell from the video. I know I've seen worse. If the guy had hopped right up, I wonder if it still would've been fined.

If you look at the video I have in post #9, it looks to me like the crown of Lawrence's helment hits Amerson's helment on the side, so yeah... probably was h2h.

People should look at the coaches film if they have a chance.

From when the ball was kicked Lawrence actually goes forward to engage a guy while the rest of the squad retreats.

Lawrence is at like the 50 and gets a 30 yard running start back to make the block.

What a shame, it was obviously accidental helmet to helmet.... i don't know what he was supposed to do in that situation. Should he have let him tackle Harris? Or maybe set a screen like a pick and roll in the NBA? It's football for gods sake.

Unbelievable.

A good play by a young kid. Now he'll be she'll shocked to do it again.

The league is ridiculous anymore.
