I think both could turn out to be very good QB. I do think Romo has a lot more upside to him and will continue to improve

Romo has this knack for getting it done. If the Cowboys ever decided to use the backs more in the passing game , and get some decent (not great but decent) blocking, Romo could be all world.

Romo's been good, but his production has dropped off (I'm gonna be optimistic and hope that it's the OL that's the reason).

Campbell's also been good. I saw him in the Week 17 Giants game, and he played very well. So much for being "too stupid" to learn the system.

He did play well but he couldn't drive his team down the field at the end to win the game. They were down 6 a td and extra point would have won it. He had ample time to throw also

I was hoping he would be a huge bust since it's the Commanders but I honestly think that Campbell is going to be a stud in this league.

Romo has seemed to get worse as the season came to a close while Campbell looked to be improving.....I guess we'll just have to see what happens an revist this comparison in a few years.

Believe it or not a I do believe in Romo too.....

His production did not drop off in the Detroit game. Sure he had some turnovers while trying to make plays, but he led us back form deficits twiceto take the lead. That is all you can ask your QB to do is to give you the lead.

If you want to talk about a drop off in production, talk about the secondary.

Over the last 3 games of the season he averaged:

247 YPG
1.67 TDs

I would hardly say his production dropped off. He had a couple bad games late int he season, but I don't think anyone expected him to continue the performance he had over the first 5 games. Hell, Peyton Manning can't keep up that kind of performance.

Um, neither did Romo at the end of the Lions' game. He got us close but we didn't score.

Romo led one 4th quarter drive to take the lead. He lead another 4th quarter drive to come up 1 yard short of tying the game.

Campbell had 4 straight incompletions and didn't move the ball at all.

Romo is starting to forget about mechanics. He is throwing off the wrong foot far too often. Granted he is on the run at times but he needs to get back to basics.

Ok guys, I didn't mean to say production, I meant that his play has dropped off.

I still think that he's a great QB, he's just not as good as he was at the beginning of the Romo era.

And about Campbell being unable to lead his team to a TD at the end, didn't Randle El drop a 4th down pass?

Ah but did Campbell fumble the ball and give up three additional points like Romo did when it was 36-31?

I like Romo but he has made a ton of mistakes lately.

No, but then again, he never had his team competitive in the game to begin with.

IMO, you can blame the defense for that.
Or you could blame the offense for not scoring points, until it's garbage time and the game is put away.

So what is it, was our loss the defence's fault or the offence led by your son, Tony the Great, at fault for not scoring 40 points to win?

If we could run the ball it would help a ton.

Campbell has had a running game lately in Betts who has been putting up 100+ yard games like its nothing.

And also it would help if our defense could stop a 3rd down conversion which would allow our offense to get some rythm down.

Despite our defense sucking, we were in the game because of Romo.

Washington's defense sucked, but they weren't in the game.

Get it?

Play dropped off OR the play-calling has been super suspect. How many runs were called during the month of December again? We were TOTALLY one dimensional in the month of December. Thankfully, that month is over.
