to 2 wrs?

im sure dallas can tender austin but why risk losing the guy? remember who dallas almost lost austin to? ny jets..you dont think theyd like to pluck a player like austin for a low 1st and 3rd?

what does dallas lose by releasing roy williams? nothing but a chip on jerrys ego. maybe thats enough to keep him but its also whats wrong with the dallas cowboys. jerry says the cowboys are excited about ogletree and some other young wrs but when are they going to get their chance? they almost lost austin because the team wouldnt give him the chance to show them what he had.

Williams isn't getting released 100%. People have to stop contemplating it cause it aint happening.
They can't. The real world is foreign.

in my post i said they probably wont cut him. and thats whats wrong with the team. holding back the growth of younger players because of somebody elses salary.

We just have to bite the bullet. It's stubborness and a false hope that Roy Williams will every amount to anything in the NFL.

It will cost us about 10 million to put RW on the 53. It will cost 9.5 million to not put him on the 53. You do the math. He's not being cut. He may get benched if he doesn't get it together but that's not already been written.

No. Here's why - Jerry Jones has to pay him $9.5 million here in March. With Williams, that $9.5 million is guaranteed. He's not going to give up on this deal and still pay the guy that kind of cash.

I don't agree with that assessment.

lol of course you dont. roy was supposed to cure all things for you. i liked the idea of roy in dallas too. but its clear the guy is in the wrong type of offense. he has no sense of timing. he cant build a connection with romo.

pretty soon there are going to be adam type threads about debunking roy williams myths again.

its not jerrys ego its 9.5 million down the drain if he cuts him. His ego has nothing to do with it.

Why assume one is directly tied to the other? Just because Dallas is paying big money to Williams doesn't make it the reason the Cowboys aren't franchising Austin.

Jerry Jones/Stephen Jones have been pretty smart about their approach to the cap ... and that includes not franchising players unnecessarily or working out deals that cripple the team's ability to do what it wants in free agency.

There's no reason to be concerned when Dallas does not have a history of losing players it wants to keep.

And what myths would those be?

I think everyone pretty much agrees that Roy is a bunch of fail.

Stop with the BS.

Williams is not stopping Ogletree's progress. Jerry's ego? Fhat the wuck does Jerry's ego have to do with Roy Williams?

Come up with an original thought. Not the same old BS spewed out over and over by the talking heads who know little.

If Jones is such a problem as GM, then why's the team so phucking good?
