1) Don't we need BOTH the Panthers and Skins to lose to get in??

2) If we win the Giants lose the Panthers lose the Skins win are we in?

Pretty simple at this point.

We need either the Bucs, Panthers or Commanders to lose. Any 1 of them losing combined with a Cowboys win and we are in.

1. No, we own tiebreakers vs Carolina.

2. I think if that happens, the Skins would win the division based on a better conference record. The Giants would get a WC and we'd get the other one based on better conf record than the Panthers.

I think TB owns all tiebreakers vs us....

That's not correct. If the Bucs lose and Washington and the Giants win, the Bucs and Commanders get the wild cards.

We need one of these three things to happen --

1) Commanders lose

2) Panthers lose

3) Bucs AND Giants lose, and the Bucs don't beat us or the Giants in strength of victory

Is this a fact? If so, we are in decent but not good shape.

Would the Giants still make it???

Yes, if they beat or tie the Bucs in strength of victory, they'd get the first wild card. Then we'd be in a tiebreaker with the Bucs for the second wild card, and it would come down to strength of victory (we'd need to win or tie).

It's more of an either or at this point.....
Either:
1.The Commanders OR carolina lose
OR
2. The Bucs AND Giants lose

We really don't want the Bucs to lose unless Carolina loses..... TB owns tiebreaker over Washington so that would eliminate us right away. So if TB loses we need the Giants to lose and Washington to win the division

What do you mean by Strength of victory?

No, we still want the Bucs to lose. If Carolina wins and the Commanders lose, a Bucs win means we'd be the sixth seed, but a Bucs loss means we could be the fifth seed. And if Carolina and the Commanders both win and the Giants lose, a Bucs win means we're out, while a Bucs loss means we could be the sixth seed instead of the Bucs. There's no scenario in which a Bucs win is better for us. If they win, we still need the Commanders or Carolina to lose.

At least we'll know who to root for by the time the Eagles vs. Skins game comes on. It's the only one on at 4:00EST....

Oh yeah and NY plays on Sat. night, so we'll have a better idea who to root for in the 1:00pm EST games on Sunday. All I know is that we don't want a 3 way tie with the Bucs and the Skins for the WC spots, cause then we're out...
