our 2nd
Cleveland's 3rd
Detroit's 4th
our 4th
our 5th
Tennesee's 5th
Miami's 6th
Detroit's 7th
our 7th

Compensatory picks for Julius Jones, Jacques Reeves, and possibly Nate Jones. I've seen those being 5th, 6th, and 7th rounders.

Our 2nd.

Cleveland's 3rd round pick.

Our 4th.

Detroit's 4th

Our 5th.

Tennessee's 5th.

Miami's 6th.

Our 7th.

Detroit's 7th.

Plus 2 Compensatory picks for losing Jacques Reeves (5th round) and Julius Jones (6th round). Adam said we would likely not receive one for losing Nate Jones. If we did get one for him it would probably be a 7th.

I can't see the Cowboys picking 11 players.
The Compensatory picks cannot be traded. All of the others can.

I think we could end up with 6 picks when trading is done. Maybe 7.

I also think we may end moving Carpenter, Crayton, and possibly Ellis for more Day Two picks. Maybe Jerry will try to bundle some of those picks to move into the bottom of the 1st round. We all know how Jerry gets come draft day.

I stand by what I said after the Roy Williams trade, we need quality not quantity out of this draft. Come on Jerry, I know you have it in you, Taylor Mays is Tailor Made (you like that huh?) for the Dallas Cowboys.

Please don't think I have any sort of bias.

Yeah. Three of those should be first day picks, or two first day picks with a move into the first round.

Little to no chance we'd have 3 on Day 1. That's only the 1st and 2nd rounds now. Doubtful we can get 2 more when we only have 1 now.

If theres a player we want I can see Jerry bundling our 2nd and both 4ths for a pick in the 20's. Anyone agree?

The player the Cowboys really want is Michael Crabtree, but he won't be there.

From Hos:

Our 2nd.

Cleveland's 3rd round pick. (That's almost like another 2nd rounder)

Our 4th.

Detroit's 4th (Definitely like a 3rd rounder)

Our 5th.

Tennessee's 5th. (Like having 3 picks in the 6th)

Our 6th.

Miami's 6th.

Our 7th.

Plus 2 Compensatory picks for losing Jacques Reeves (5th round) and Julius Jones (6th round). Adam said we would likely not receive one for losing Nate Jones. If we did get one for him it would probably be a 7th.

Did he already declare for the draft?

When it's all said and done, IMO... Crabtree >>>>> Roy11.

Sorry, but I still can't stand that trade. It did NOTHING for us this season and it now prevents us from having any kind of shot at Crabtree (if he declares).

Don't forget that there will be compensatory picks at the end of the fifth round, so Tennessee's fifth could be five, 10 or 15 picks (or so) higher than the first pick of the sixth round, depending on how many fifth-round comps are awarded.

We don't need to draft that many players. They won't make the roster. We need to bundle some picks and get more earlier round picks. Like someone else said, we need quality. Guys that can help now. We really need players that can step in right away at safety, ILB, and a true NT.

Ya. I forgot round three no longer happens on the first day. Third rounders are still "day one" picks to me. :D

So let me restate: I think we'll either end up with three picks in the first three rounds or two in the first three rounds with one of them moved up to the end of the first.

They arnt going to trade Crayton.

Carpenter has no trade value, Ellis might.

Trading up for a safety is a very bad idea, especially one who doesnt have much of a track record for making plays. Unbelievable physical skill, but he doesnt seem to make many plays and some people think he may have to move to LB.
