Can we go 3-1 in each of the last 4 game segments.

The real question is:

How many 400 yard passers will this team give up in each of the last 4 game segments?

I say 2 apiece for a total of 8 on the season.

No, the real question is:

Will an 8-8 record be enough to win the division? All of these posts that have us with anything other than an 8-8 record is just crazy talk.

We need 3 outta the next 4 and a split in the last 4.
9-7 will win the east and we get a home playoff game.

The next 4 is the key

Funny thing is if we finish 8-8 and that wins the division and earns a playoff spot then Jerry will see it as a good thing just because we got a shot at the playoffs but in all reality 8-8 with no playoffs would be a disappointment for him...its all about making the playoffs

I agree with YR that we shouldn't need that record to win the division, but yeah, I think it's possible. Not probable, but possible. It will mean we'd need to break through and win at least one of the three remaining games against good teams, which has been our bugaboo so far this season (and I'm counting Chicago as one of those good teams, at least partly because it's a road game).

And we'll have to continue the winning ways against the NFC East rivals, which isn't exactly a given, like someone else pointed out they are rivalry games and two of them are on the road. So I wouldn't say its probable or likely. But within the realm of possibility, sure. We've just got to break through in the games against the tougher teams, somehow.

I'd be meh with 4-4
I'd be happy with 5-3
I'd be very happy with 6-2

Sure they can, but they most likely won't have to. I think 8-8 wins the division by 2 games. The Detroit loss didn't bother me so much because of it's effect on our playoff chances, but because it pretty much eliminates any shot at a bye.

I suspect that Dallas will game-plan a way to snag a few more defeats out of the jaws of victory, one to either either the Giants or Commanders and one to the Bears.

I see
2-3 that Dallas will be expected to win; though anything can happen (Minn at home, Oak at home, maybe Philly at home)
2-3 that Dallas will be expected to lose; though anything can happen (at NO, GB at home, maybe at Chi)
2-4 that would be considered almost toss-ups (at NY, at Wash, maybe Philly at home gm and at Chicago)

I could realistically be anywhere from 6-10 to 10-6..and depending on injuries, both cases are not far-fetched. No news there.
If they can not get anyowrse health-wise, I say 9-7 or 8-8.

It is and I would be excited to see a Cowboys playoff game, make no mistake about it. But it would be hard to call it "progress" as we are seeing many of the same issues that have plagued this team in recent years. Questionable play calling, poor game management, untimely penalties, a mysteriously impotent offense, and a quickly eroding defense.

We'll find a way to go 0-6, I understand it's impossible, but we are talking about the Dallas Cowboys.

I don't think the GB at Home is a sure fire loss. I know they are 5 -2 and will likely be the number 2 seed in the NFC, their schedule is very easy the rest of the year, two teams at 500 or better left, us and the lions (both on the road). I think we finish at 10-6, with NO and one of the NFC E teams being the other loss. But then again, its the Cowboys, we could end up 7-9 due to a missed FG, a hold, a pick, who knows. But I think we are 10-6, 4th Seed and host SF in the first round. Then on to Seattle to play them in the divisional round, where all the fun ends. Book it. :)

I don't really look at what these teams are doing right now. I look at the matchups. I know we struggle against really physical Defensive Tackles or NT/DEs in a 34. The only team that has that out of the remaining 8 is Green Bay. They have an offense that can score and they have a defense that we don't match up well with. That game will be very tough.

New Orleans on the road will also be tough because they are tough there and they have a great QB. Their defense is also pretty decent but they will not overpower us so I think we can protect Tony and possibly open some holes. If Tony has time, I like our chances but I'd give them the edge.
