I don't care if you insult McNabb.... But you just did lol

McNabb could read a defense, he could make you pay, he was a real QB.

McNabb was horribly inaccurate, and he benefitted from having a supreme defense that could hide and erase his shortcomings.

He did throw a tremendous deep ball, and of course, he could run.

His good rookie year was the best thing that could have happened. They'll hang on to that forever in hopes that he will return to that...he won't.

True however his rookie year had more to do with Washington running game keeping him in excellent down and distance situation. He threw fewer passes than any starting QB, once Washington had him throwing the ball more the worse things got for him

Valid point. But to me, no matter the reasons for the good year they had, in their minds, RG3 was the main one. It'll be interesting to see how he performs going forward because next year, I believe, is the year they exercise the 5th year option on him. Any way you look at it, though, they gave up waaaay too much to draft him.

I think it had more to do with the novelty of the read option. You are seeing less of it now. It is no longer a staple in certain teams playbooks, there a few plays with it but most teams are running more "traditional" offenses with read option sprinkled in.

True the read option was a big factor and Morris with 1,600 yards took the pressure off of RGIII and his 1 read and throws. When he is asked to drop make and make multiple reads he seems to struggle.

Thanks for the list of his can do's and cannots

McNabb could lead an offense. RGIII doesn't seem to be able to.

At this point, they have to realize that Bob isn't that franchise QB they hoped for. Trading isn't an option, they would get next to nothing in return even if they could find someone willing. They should just go ahead and get what they can out of him, quit trying to make him a pocket passer and just go ahead and go full on read option. Treat him as a RB and run him into the ground, he may not have the wheels he did before the injuries, but at least it's something he understands. It's not ideal for longevity, but a another contract after his rookie deal looks remote.

Britt Hume: Commanders current RG3 woes remind me of Norm Van Brocklin on the young Fran Tarkenton: "He's a great quarterback if you like 3d and 37."

There is NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING that will lift your spirit like reading over at Extremeskins about Robert :lmao2:

He is a mental midget. He might still have a ton of talent, but he's so weak in the head. You only play that ****ing bad against a team like the Bucs because you got in your own head and tried to do too much.

A mentally weak QB is probably the worst possible thing for a franchise. I would be open to QB competition next year, be it a rookie or a vet.

No more confidence in Robert (refuse to call him RGIII anymore) and it has zero to do with injuries.

This guy is an ego maniac....he wants to do it his way, that's why he doesn't want to get better in the pocket cause he doesn't want to, he is nothing but a brand, he gets on twitter facebook and all this garbage but we are not seeing results on the field.

He is a flash in the pan, FLUKE and IM done with him, let anyone else play but send this all about me guy down the road. How DARE you compare yourself to Peyton Manning, you couldn't carry Peyton's jock. Peyton Manning makes people better you with your all about me I wanna play my way hold the ball always gotta make the big play make us worse you suck Im done with you.

It's a no guys and this is what happens when we have a failure of management. We gave up the house for fools gold, heck I spent $300 for an original rg3 jersey .
