I would not be upset. You build a wall in front of your franchise, to protect your house, and you can't go too wrong.

Then you draft, Jon Dahl in the 6th, or acquire a 7th in a trade and then take him. He can play both G positions. Green can be your swing T. Keep Bernie around to play all 3 interior OL positions. Keep Charles Brown to also play Swing T, along with Green.

I would do it over drafting a backup QB. Heck I could be convinced it was the best way to go. Maybe wouldn't even take much convincing.

I have long thought the best way to manipulate the cap is to have highly drafted Olinemen that you can extend/restructure.

They have a low bust rate and tend to have longer careers than most players. Capable of playing well into their mid 30's.

Not to mention if you want Romo healthy and think he is your best shot why not?

Very similar. Probably a little bit more polished, but not much. They are very, very similar in their play styles, athleticism and strengths. I bet he draws a ton of comparisons to T. Smith in the coming months.

not as freakishly athletic as Tyron but amazingly similar imo.they are both amazingly quick on the feet.

Unless they trade out of the top pick. If the 9ers trade up, I can see:

SF - Goff
Cleveland - Paxton
SD - Bosa

Tunsil being available at 4 is a very strong possibility in this situation.

A 5m+ Vet in Free, a 3rd round pick in CGreen and now a top 4 pick

We need other positions a lot more, like QB

It wouldn't be wise. Eventually, Frederick and Martin will want to get paid big money and also Collins if he continues to improve and fulfill his potential. You have to use those resources at other positions to fill the other holes on the team.
