Can youth be our problem?

I was looking over our starting roster and guys we are a very young team. We only have 4 players on Offense that have over 5 years experience in the league and few very that have actual game experience. On defense we only have 3 players with over 5 years experience and several that this is their second year in the league.

I think we are set up great for the future right now.. thanks to Bill Parcells,, but I am wondering if the lack of concentration is a reflection of the maturity level of the players that are young and this season will just go down as a growing pains type year. The talent level can not be denied.

As fans, should we expect alot of mistakes from young players as they learn the game at this level? I don't know,, I hate seeing the errors that are plaguing this team this year.. and I know that the coach's are not coaching penalties.. I can't explain it, but maybe the age of the team has an effect.

Except that a lot of our mistakes are coming from guys who have more then 2-3 years as pros. And they are the kind of FUNDAMENTAL mistakes that just SHOULD NOT HAPPEN.

I can agree with that to a point,, take Columbo and the FG.. that was a huge mistake, it was a fundemental mistake that he has not done before.. but he is young and the pressure might have gotten to him and he lapsed in his concentration. He is one of the guys, that has been in the league for 3-4 years, but hasn't had much playing experience,, I am not making excuses for any of the mistakes at all.. just wondering if this is part of the growing pains with a young team.
