Now that Herm Edwards is out at KC what are the chances that Garret gets an interview? I heard that Pioli might want his own guy but are there any body out there besides Crennel? I know that reports have mentioned Shanahan, or Gruden but I was wondering about Garrets potential of landing this job? Hos, do you have an inside guy in KC like you did in Tampa? You were right on withthe coach and GM on that one. I apologize if this is repost and by no means do I want to bring up Garret must go or stay threads. I was just wondering if anybody knows who they are looking at.

I do not have any sources in KC. I wonder if the Tampa source could help? I may ask.

At this point Garrett is not a candidate, but you know that could easily change.

The speculation is Shanahan. Pioli and Belichick both have a ton of respect for him.

I bet Pioli wishes Denver had not moved so fast on Josh McDaniel.

I think Jon Gruden is a fit there, but Shanahan knows that division better than anyone. On the flip side, that Division knows him too. So maybe Gruden's new blood would help. And he can get some revenge on Addled Al in Oakland too. Not only for his time there but for how Al treated his DCs son, Lane. Al firing Lane basically cost Gruden his DC Monte Kiffen and ultimately his job.

I think Todd Bowles could get an interview there too. Pacrells is Piloi's Father-In-Law. That would satisfay the Rooney Rule. Some think Bowles is almost as ready as Garrett to take a team.

My money is on Gruden.

I think that Todd Haley is the guy too. There are a lot of connections there.

The local news is saying Haley looks to be #1 on the list but that is just them speculating.

Yeah, and I don't know about you but I don't have much faith in the speculation abilities of the local sports media. We have Whitlock, hard to get much worse than that.

On NFL Network just now Adam S. stated, quite matter of factly, that the rumors about it being Shannahan are false and that he could report, for certain, that it wouldn't be Mike taking over the head coaching job in KC.

And yes Adam was reporting that Haley is quite possibly a front runner for the position.

when did Jon Gruden get fired??
Last Friday. Almost at the exact same time Brian Stewart did.

Then within hours Tampa hired from within. It was amazing.
