Just finished watching a couple of last seasons games and I'm ^%$^$^*% happy we got rid of LA. Yeah I know, he will go down as one of the if not the best OL to ever play. Although after watching those game, he was no where playing at the level of his past best. He looked sloppy, slow and not very motivated. I especially was sick after watching the Raiders (missed it during the regular season) and seeing his man in the backfield for potential big plays. I'm sure some are leery of Kosier, but trust me he can't be any worst than what we saw last season in LA.

True, but the original wasn't the orignal last season. So, it depends on which original you compare the sequal to. I almost lost myself.

As much as I admired Larry Allen, he was certainly on the backside of his career.

He was never the same after the knee injury in 2002.

Kosier will bring a different dimension to the offense. This could prove to be vital for the running game. We will have to wait and see though.

So dead-on that the original looks even worse than it already did.

Good post.

I'm a huge fan of LA but I'm glad he's gone too. Your comments were on point.

HH is way right on this one. LA struggled to deal with quick players at DT and get out to the second level in on toss and outside running plays. Although Kosier might not be able to dominate heads up with a DT, he sure can move and play in space. He is the type of OG Parcells seems to want nowadays-see Rivera and Proctor signings....

Judging LA's season by the Oakland game is an agenda-laced rationalization. Were you absent during the Detroit game?

LA had another solid year; most notably he was a boon in pass protection up the middle where he was an impassable wall. With a QB like Bledsoe that was invaluable. It is a serious trade-off letting him go, but it was time. We now have a player at the beginning of his prime whom our scouting dept. believes is poised to excel.

This is really a 2 sided story. LA's play had slipped and he was due way to juch $$$. For me it was a combination of those two that makes me glad he is gone.

Our OL has not been good for a while now. Some of that has to do w/ Allen. I am glad he is gone. Next up is Flozell if we don't improve.

Judging my rationalization based on just one of my post is an agenda-laced rationalization.

Kosier isn't here to be the next LA in his prime, and the sooner people get that ****ck out of their head, the better

You gotta be kidding me? Go back and watch games in which guys simply ran around him and left him rooted to the ground. Sorry, I watched and rewatched too many games to realize that they had LA figured out quite nicely. Don't bullrush him, give him a move and go around. Pass rushes came up the middle in his vicinity way too often.

He was nothing more than a strong and large road marker.
