I was doing my ritual sunday funday with some buddies at my house this past sunday we of course watched the cowboys game, neither I nor any of my buddies ( 2 panther fans, 1 colts fan, 1 whoever is hot fan) can put a finger on what the hell is wrong with the cowboys. They asked me what you guys are saying on here might the problem be and I told them it's different every week.

They like every other fan kept saying " as much talent as you guys have you shouldn't be losing this much and looking this sloppy". Shockingly not 1 of them said romo is the problem, they all actually like romo the one bandwagon fan actually has a romo throwback that he wore to my house underneath a colts hoodie ( no joke lol).

So I ask you guys this question, How many think it's the front office? and how many thinks it's the players/coaches?

Its more than that.

Execution is lacking.

You could argue that if we execute 1-2 more plays per game our record could be 5-2

It’s not a mystery to what is the problem with the Cowboys. When i rewatch the game the one area that always sticks out is how poor the offensive line is. Sure they have their good moments, the entire game plan works around poor line play.

Couldn't a lot of teams make that argument?

Sure, we have other issues..none of which are even remotely as glaring as our oline.

I think the coach being unable to trust his QB is an enormous, glaring issue.

Maybe the coach doesnt trust the oline, ever considered that?

The OL has to play whether you're running or throwing....

Not the good ones. With the weapons we have at QB, RB , WR and TE...the OL is holding the ENTIRE operation back. You don't think Romo could have made the throws Vick made the other night? Vick had all day. Also, don't forget....Andy Reid has fogotten more about running an offense than JG knows!

Of course, but running is always safer

If you haven't come to the conclusion that Jones is the problem by now, you never will.

Thats obvious.

And secondary.

Sean Lee goes out and the safeties can no longer cover the middle of the filed.

Again, this is a rebuilding year, when next offseasaon we get to address OL and the upgrade the seocndary (Safety first, and depth at CB).

Secondary is fine.

Which I think might speak to misguided personnel acquisition philosophy. We've waited too long to address this issue.

The biggest problem is the oline, imo. Other than the oline, the iggles game was just one of those games. I don't think it goes the same way when we face them again. Not saying we beat them, just that we won't look like a high school team.

Young bad o-line. Old linebackers behind injured Lee. Mike Jenkins and Felix Jones are made of glass. Garrett's play calling/personality -- he should not be an OC and HC on this team, he holds no accountability and never has that fire, too calm. Dez is the laziest player.

As of now this team is wasting the talents of Romo, Witten, Murray, and Ware. Thanks to the lovely GM. And he "isn't worried at all" (after getting whopped 34-7)

QB doesn't pay attention to detail enough.

QB doesn't throw the ball away when the play isn't there.

QB relies on Witten too much.

Can't trust the interior of the O-Line.

Dez doesn't know his routes.

Offense gets off to slow starts consistently.

Garrett gameplans well, but has a 'wait and see approach' in the game which often doesn't work.

No consistent QB pressure from anybody besides Ware. Ratliff is a NT, so he can be doubled. Spencer disappears, so has Hatcher.

Lee is good in short and medium zone coverage and struggles in deep coverage. But, he's far better than Brooking or Bradie in deep coverage (it's why, if Carter is as good as advertised, they could be a great combo at ILB).

Weak tackling corners outside of Scrandrick who is average.
