As far as I know your right. As an UFA the player has a right to listen to any offers out there without compensation to his team. NO could slap a Franchise tag on the Bently other than that Bently is free to move

Bentley wants out - if free its doubtful we would win sweepstakes. Saints probably franchise and try and trade him. That would put Howard on the street -

What kind of salary cap situation does Payton inherit? Does it make sense for them to franchise Bentley. Seems like someone said offensive linemen are all grouped together for cap purposes. If so, they might not want to pay offensive lineman pay to a center. Then again, he is an elite player.

I readily admit as an older overpaid DE he has no role here. Had no idea Saints already were going to cut him free. Maybe you obsess more!


Back to Bentley - makes sense to Franchise and try and trade.

The guy isnt a center he a great guard but He wants to play Center on whatever team he goes to.

Just because he makes the Pro bOwl, it doesn't mean Bentley a great center.

I'll tell u alot abouthim, When he came into the league as a guard, he was dominated. He totally dominated Sapp in his first game. Ill always remember that.

2 yrs ago we moved him to center. check our YPC since he became center its much lower than it used to be w/ him as guard.

Like I been tellling people, He a great GUARD but an AVG. center.

If you need anymore feedback ask becuase if he wants to stay as Center,

he can leave.
