I guess Ware made J. Abe moot here, but it still sucked this offseason not to see Johnny re-united with Bill, and in a 3-4 again which he hasn't played since his rookie year.

Crown Royal said:I don't know much about the player, I have never reallywatched him or the Jets since they've been garbage the last few years. But if he plays like this all season, he would have been nice in a star.
I haven't seen dominance at the line like this since Kearse in his first year or two. The guy is OWNING MIKE WAHLE. That isn't a chump, either.
LaTunaNostra said:He had recurring groin/hernia issues one year, a shady knee another. But when John's healthy, he makes the Pro Bowl. Like clockwork.
I think maybe there are a lot of NFC fans never saw much of him so might not realize how talented he is.
I was glad when he got out of NY..everybody, but everybody got paid but John..and he was by far the greatest talent on the team. Threatening to franchise tag him two consecutive years was just a slap.
Owner Woody Johnson said he was burned by Chad's big contract, which got followed by two years of injury, so he didn't want to shell out longterm to Johnny Abe..but that's a gaffe way to run a team, imo. Losing JA wasn't that big a deal in light of the shift to the 3-4, but then again, Tuna did draft him for a 3-4.
