Did well enough for a Freshman. Are either of the 2 injured QB's for OSU underclassman?

J.T. Barrett is a redshirt freshman. Braxton Miller has already graduated, but has a year of eligibility left. He can transfer without losing a year, stay at OSU or go pro.

Sorry, didn't realize I was talking to someone who has inside information....reality is that you have 0 clue whether he will be drafted or not. I promise you that he has people with A LOT more information than you have in his corner.

And I'm sure your not naive enough to think that he wouldn't get a free education if he chose after just winning OSU a national championship

I'm pretty sure there is probably a lot you don't actually realize but it's cool. It's only a message board. When he becomes a high draft pick in the upcoming draft, you can tell me I told you so. Again when he becomes a starter.

Be well.

I think this kid should stay in school. It doesn't make sense to me for him to come out. The discussion around why he should come out, as opposed to staying is self defeating. He needs to come out because he can't play at Ohio State but if he has no chance of playing at OSU, he will be better off in the NFL? I think it's to his advantage to stay in school. He will get a chance to win the job at OSU IMO. At least compete. He should do that because there is no better chance for him to improve then to start at OSU. If his game film is impressive enough to get drafted, would it not be impressive enough to get a shot at competition for the starting job at OSU? If it's not, then what chance does he really have in the NFL? I think he just needs to stay and continue to work on his craft.

I listened to an interview with Cris Carter (OSU alum). Was very interesting I thought.

He should take his time, age is not an issue at QB. If he continues to develop his game for another 2 years, especially considering he'd have to sit out a year to transfer, then he's got all the tools to still be a top prospect in the draft at age 24 or 25. Brandon Weeden was a 1st rounder at age 28 and he wasn't even a great prospect, he just had a very good college career.

He should come out and start getting paid. He should go to a team where he won't have to start in 2015 and can learn the position.

Weird position Cardale is in at the moment.

Go back to school and sort out the log jam at the QB position at OSU, or turn pro off a very little sample size of what he brings to the table to the point a GM might risk taking a gamble on a player who has done nothing but looked okay against an Alabama team and overrated Oregon team in their school two biggest games in the past 7 years.

If I was the kid's father I would tell him go play on Sundays and strike while the iron is still hot

He is definitely smart to go to the NFL. Playing another year under in that offense won't help prepare him for the NFL and his stock may never be higher than it is now. Strike while the iron is hot - another year in college means another year of film for scouts to pick apart and find reasons not to draft you.

Kiper on ESPN this AM had him as a second round pick. Kind of shocked by that.

Bad QB class always = big reaches. This QB class consists of....

1.Winston
1A. Mariota

2 Hundley

3. Grayson or Petty?????

Suddenly the 6'5 250 lb mystery of Jones doesn't seem like such a bad idea if you're a team that needs a QB. 2nd round does seem a little high, but 3rd/4th seems very likely.

Herbstreit tweeted our earlier that he expects him to declare. Looks like he was wrong since he's staying at school.

They say he has the best upside of all three QBs but is the least ready.
