I just got back from seeing him perform. If it is coming to a city near you and you aren't easily offended go see him. I promise you won't regret it.

Sucks, he's not going anywhere near Kansas City. Mencia is great. It was cool when my father-in-law was living with us and when Carlos went off in spanish he'd bust out laughing and my wife and I had no idea what he said and had to get the translation. Now we don't get any translations...but that's the only bad thing about him being gone.

Amigo, if you can make the drive anywhere go see him. It's worth it. This guy makes you actually think about stuff. He spares no one and the way he won't apologize for it. I would share some of what he said but people are too sensitive to a lot of stuff. Suffice it to say I had a blast and I laughed my butt off.

Believe me, I would if I could. Looks like Chicago is the closest to me, and we just had a trip a few weeks ago. Now if he went to Dallas in January or so, around playoff time, that might work out since there is a chance I'll make the trip if they host a playoff game or 2.

he is an act theif and a liar, the guy isn't even mexican he is half german and half honduran. Most other comics hate the guy. I will admit it is a good show but I won't pay a guy who steals other people's jokes. He also owes a buddy of mine almost a grand for limo services he neer paiid for. Not starting a fight or anything I just can't stand people that pawn off other peoples work as their own.

He openly admits to being born in Honduras. He plays off that quite well in showing how people stereotype without knowing.

All comics use other people's jokes to some degree. I've seen Gallagher and George Carlin tell almost the exact same joke. Same with Robin Williams and Billy Crystal.

Whatever, don't see him. You're missing out. He added more tour dates for those interested.

I know nothing of what you're accusing him of. I go to a show to laugh, not to choose sides.

My brother-in-law is a magician/juggler. I've opened his show with a short stand up act. I have then seen something original by me end up on Comedy Central by another comedian. I was honored, though I am kind of pissed that he never became famous for it. Means I wasn't funny enough. That's just me.

I get what you're saying but it just seems futile. Like one time when I got fired from a construction project by an owner who was upset that I went to Marie Calendar's for dinner. Her reasoning was that the Marie Calendar's CEO supports Planned Parenthood. I haven't got time to find out the politics and/or practices of every place I want to eat and gauge it against who I might be working for.

The idea of enjoyment is exactly that, to enjoy.

I have tried to tell one of his jokes and all I get is crickets, the same joke told by him killed.

comedy is pretty fascinating to me, its all in the way you tell the joke not really the joke itself.

I always got great laughs with my skit. The professional comedian who used my stuff didn't. He didn't do it the same way, that may be why, but I think they were just being polite to me.
