Nice article about him here. This is one of the guys that get's it and didn't get complacent when he got his big contract. I know many think he's over paid and maybe he is but thats the nature of the business and not his fault. I think we're lucky to have this guy still and (putting on homer glasses now) maybe he gets some help behind him, get's comfortable with the new system and has a very good year. He says too many right things to predict a bad year for him in my opinion.

I do think he has the mind set and work ethic to bounce back and have a solid year. No one is going to have a good year when you are trying to stay in coverage for several seconds each snap. He seems like a solid guy and a true pro. I for one am glad we have him on the team and hope he has a much better season this year. I expect he will.

He is still a top cover CB but like most he needs good safety play and pass rush.

Without much of a defensive line that can put consistent pressure on the QB, he will suffer just like all the CB's and Safeties.
We probably won't have to race hard to visit the bottom of the barrel again this year.

Not if the pass rush isn't improved. Even Seattle's vaunted secondary would struggle if paired with Dallas' shameful defensive line. Carr was paid based on his success in KC, where, despite lack of wins, had a very solid defensive front that routinely got pressure.

He had 1 bad year and people want him out of town, Hatcher had 1 good year and people want him to still be here smh.

Difference between homegrown vs free agency. People watched Hatcher grow into what they saw last year.

By all accounts, Carr's a good guy. He's had an up/down start to his Cowboys tenure. But the primary issue is that the money he got pissed people off before he ever played a down for the team.

He is a solid corner. I think most would be thrilled to draft a guy like him in the 3-5 rounds and be a solid player. A lot would like him if he even if resigned him to a contract similar to Scandrick.

I think the issue most of us have is the cowboys spent such valuable free agent dollars with him on his big contract. For years people on this board said you invest premium dollars and picks on cornerbacks and you would solve Dallas defense woes. Well the front office had similar thoughts. Well maybe they picked the wrong guys but the defense has not been worse. With holes all over the place now, those two big decisions look very poor right now.

Where in the article does it mention him pushing himself more than ever? The title article doesn't matchup with the content of the article. I thought we were going to get some info on him working harder b/c of his play last season but it barely even mentions last season.

Help behind him? The entire secondary needs help in front of them. Starts up front with the big uglies. I still believe in Brandon Carr! He's a good CB regardless what those say in here.

He needs some help. Deion would struggle if he had a line like we had last year.

His play last seasoned suffered, as did the ENTIRE SECONDARY due to the injuries up front on the D-line. Do you not agree? We literally asked Marinelli to work miracles with a bunch of guys off the street, and we still were fighting for a spot in the playoffs.
