Only reason Carroll is starting is because the kids missed most if not all of camp.

Chido is likely out for a bit.

Honestly anyone trashing our DBs needs to realize we played without three of the top four cbs. That's a pretty big deal

LOL.

Carroll is one of those top 4 DBs and he stinks.

Yeah. No.

The front office and coaches clearly think he can play. They tried to get him in multiple off seasons.

He was always going to be a starter. What a whiff by the staff. I warned people he was trash.

But he has that coveted "experience" the organization loves so much.

I can agree with everything being said but we need a veteran back there and if it ain't Carroll we a need to call for a veteran out there. We can't be getting this thin at corner, having our safeties out there covering this big fast receivers was just scary.

What good is a veteran "back there" if he sucks?

This notion that you have to vet leadership out there even if he's not very good is one of the reasons we continue year after year to field average defenses.

They screwed up this offseason hitting the bargain bin for defensive help. They acted like this was a 5 win team that was building for the future. They could have added young CB talent in the draft while still finding better veteran players in FA. Carroll was a trash, crap signing and only the true FO apologists couldn't see that. He was a bad CB in Philly, having a limited skill set. But people tricked themselves into thinking he was a victim of a bad system fit in Philly, ignoring the fact that Philly actually played a bit more zone last year than Schwartz wanted to play given secondary problems and Carroll still stunk.

Think about that for a second........ the Eagles secondary would rather run Jalen Mills and some rookies out there than have Nolan Carroll back.

The other thing to think about......... Philly was deemed to have been further away from contending than we were, but they were willing to give up a 3rd rounder and a WR for Darby to improve one of their weaknesses while still drafting CBs for the future. Our answer to our equally problematic secondary woes?

Nolan Carroll. LOL.

My only memory of Carroll over the years is him getting destroyed by Dez (an average WR) twice a year.

Revis is done.

Well it appears Carrol is done...he's a bottom of the roster player...the bottom of the roster needs to be stirred...I'd take my chance with a corner that has had great success in the NFL over Carrol...

No warning is needed. We played him twice per year before he came here. If those kids were healthy, they would have beat him lol.

I think you are wishing upon a star on that one. Marinelli liked the guy to the point they tried to sign him as a FA two years ago too. I think they really thought he would give them a solid vet presence out there.
