The draft lottery was last night and the Cavs got the #1 overall pick again. Since LeBron left four years ago, they've gotten three #1 overall picks. People are now saying this will be enough to get LeBron to want to come back.

If you ask me, this #1 overall pick dooms them even more. Kyrie Irving is good and was the best player in that draft, but I wouldn't call him a superstar. There are a handful of PGs I'd take over him. The good news is, this has become a PG league so it can't hurt having a guy like Kyrie on your team.

Then you take last year, when the Cavs drafted possibly the worst #1 overall player in NBA draft history. Now you take this year, and I have a feeling they'll take Embiid in order to get LeBron to come (since Wiggins and Parker both play LeBron's position.

If you ask me, that would be the worst possible move. Like I said, this has become a PG league. I wouldn't take any big over a smaller scorer. Look what happened with Oden over Durant. Look at guys who were viewed as the future of the NBA in Bynum and Hibbert. If the Cavs waste their pick on Embiid, they'll be getting an overrated big who will end up getting hurt like all the other bigs.

The smartest thing to do would be to take a guy like Wiggins. Who cares if he plays the same position as LeBron? He has the biggest upside in the draft, and he's insurance in case they miss out on LeBron. Besides, LeBron has shown that he can win with other guys who play a similar style and position.

But, when it's said and done, the Cavs will draft Embiid, miss out on LeBron, then Embiid will get hurt and not be very good when he plays, that guy they drafted #1 overall last year will be out of the league in two years, Kyrie Irving will be a career 10th best PG in the league, and the Cavs will continue to be a bottom-feeder franchise.

Lakers are such a bad organization, it's insane that some superstars (allegedly Kevin Love) would want to even go there. As much respect as I have for Kobe Bryant (a true living legend), he's really crippling that organization by sticking around. Well, so is Steve Nash. At least Kobe can still play at a relatively high level.

But anyway, the Lakers just have no future and no current potential. They're locked up to contracts with Kobe and Nash, they have no future draft picks, and they have no young talent. They're an absolute mess.

But they'll probably be back on top in a few years because superstars salivate over the idea of playing in the purple and gold (remind you of any NFL team?).

If Lebron goes back to Cleveland, I'd play him at the 4 and just go with a small ball line up of

C- Spencer Hawes, Anderson Varejao
PF- Lebron James, Tristan Thompson
SF- Andre Wiggins
SG- Dion Watters, CJ Miles
PG- Kyrie Irving, Jarrett Jack

The best thing the Cavs could do would be to trade down for extra picks and/or players. Everyone except them knows they'll just botch the #1 pick…again

lol, I'd trade from #1 to #2, if I got an unprotected first from Milwaukee, other wise, I don't consider a move.

Its not the NFL...NBA is a superstar league. While 2 good 2nd rounders might be greater tahn a top 10 in football, that doesn't apply to the NBA.

I can't stand the NBA and hardly watch it, but you can't think this kid isn't a star. He just turned 22, averaged like 20 and 6 last year with almost no supporting cast.

LeBron is not going back to Cleveland. Not until its time for a retirement tour. Kyrie Irving isn't staying in Cleveland either.

I agree. I find the mess that is Cleveland to be quite comical. Kinda feel bad for that city. I apologize if any fellow Zoners are from Cleveland.

If any franchise should be sold off and moved to Seattle under new ownership, it's that team. Or Sacramento, which is basically a D-League team playing in the NBA, but they got all upset about the team possibly moving after they didn't even show up for games for years lol.

Lebron will be a knick before he goes back to Cleveland. Unless, like you said retirement tour.

If I'm the cav's GM

Trade #1 pick for Kevin love
Sign Lebron in off season

Kyrie/love/Lebron

At least 2-3 championships

One major problem with this scenario, is the NBA offseason schedule. Cleveland would have to be willing to deal the #1 pick for a guy with 1 year left on his deal. And while Kevin Love would extend if Lebron signs, Cleveland would not part with the #1 pick with out such assurances.

Maybe Cleveland can deal Wiggins straight up for Love, after the draft, if Lebron signs, but I just don't see it.
