It's all about business for the player as much as it is with the team. Obviously, if Robinson wasn't satisfied with the deal Dallas offered him, he wouldn't be happy playing for them. With that being the case, he'll either play for the Colts or decide he was better off taking the deal we offered him to begin with. It isn't like this is something that can't be overcome.

We'd be better off without him if his enthusiasm for playing for Dallas is that fragile. We'll see how this thing develops in due time. It surely does appear Robinson wasn't satisfied with the deal his original agent cut for him. It wouldn't serve our cause to retain him if he wasn't happy as a Cowboy. With or without Robinson, there's still the draft and likely better guys to rely upon.

I think he would be fine if he signed here. Like you said, it's all about business. As a free agent, he has the right to fish around for the best deal possible. Now if he actually agreed to a deal and then backed out, that would be a bit sketchy, but we still dont know if that was truly the case despite what's being "reported".

My thoughts are the ship has probably sailed since he left and is visiting other teams. Time to move on to plan D.

A deal isn't a deal until the ink is applied. No one works on a handshake any longer. You can
forget Hall being an option cause he wanted way too much coin to come to Dallas and he's
already 32. We'll probably have to go Ramsey in the 1st and another CB somewhere else in the
draft.

There may very well be CBs in the draft who could offer as much or more than Robinson if he returned to us. What he mainly had to offer was an alternative to Carr and his hefty contract. That's the part that bugs me more than anything but I wouldn't be surprised if Bosa wasn't even available to us in the draft and Ramsey ended up being a Cowboy anyhow. Anything can happen.

I have to cite the Spagnola rule on this guy: "If he was so good, why has he not been signed so far?"

This may be a agent stunt to get more $$ from JJ. I say let him go and try for more $$ but hold the line.

I'll have to give Carr some credit. By paying Robinson $1,000,000.00 to go away, he stays and keeps all of his salary instead of taking a huge pay cut. Smart man. ;)

What's it going to be then, eh?

People want that "+" badly!! You know, off-season "C+" instead of just a "C" :D

At this stage, free agency is what it is, a game of musical chairs with second and third tier players that nobody felt compelled to sign right away.

Robinson bails, then go back to Hall. Or Jerraud Powers or Greg Toler. There is not much left and most are not starting quality and we all know we are drafting one high anyways.

Aside from DE, the team has had more "interest" (visits, workouts etc.) there than anywhere else.

Carr is not the bad guy in this mess. The bad guy is the one who drew up that ridiculous contract in the first place because Rob Ryan was screaming for cornerbacks.

Carr has nothing to do with it but the contract was what he agreed to
If his word means nothing then let him go

Just sign Hardy and draft Ramsey.

Hardy/Ramsey > Bosa/Robinson

No problems with this....I realize Hardy didn't play up to snuff last year but do a contract put some stipulations
about being on time to meetings and etc. and with a full training camp under his best and hopefully better
attitude after attending classes you have a much improved player. Do a 2 year deal and move forward. I do
like Ramsey at pick #4.
