I realize Hardy didn't play up to snuff last year but do a contract put some stipulations
about being on time to meetings and etc. and with a full training camp under his best and hopefully better
attitude after attending classes you have a much improved player. Do a 2 year deal and move forward.

If they could get Hardy to envision O-linemen as coaches with clipboards and convince him that Dallas was on East Coast time he would be a model teammate.

Don't forget the same pass rush or worse to go along with it.

This doesn't bother me. It's not agreed until the contract is signed. Everybody knows this.

If the guy thinks he can possibly get a better situation elsewhere and that it's worth the risk to take a look, that's completely his prerogative. NFL contracts are a one-way street as it is. He better be sure he likes his deal before he obligates himself.

For the Cowboys, if we really want him, we can always sweeten the offer. Or we can sit tight and see what happens. It looks like we're sitting tight.

“I think he’s one of those guys that wants to be thorough and then I think he’s going to sit down with his family and agent and make a decision,” executive vice president Stephen Jones said. “And hopefully we’re still in it. We’re certainly not out of it. That’s what I’ve been told. We’d still like to have him, too. We respect the fact that he wants to see what’s out there.”

Great. Another year of the 4 horsemen of suck. Carr, Clai, Wilcox and Church. Joy.

I think it's been clear that Dallas wants to add a secondary player (on the cheap) in free agency, so I'm not sure where at the point where that's not going to happen before the draft.

I never saw anyone from the Cowboys organization say a deal had been agreed on with this kid. I saw me mediots saying " looks" like a done deal.
It's in the players best interest to see whats the best offer he can get. Most of us would do the same.

The judgement of players that goes on based on the tweets of certain reporters and sources who themselves are playing a modern version of 'telephone' is unwarranted. Especially with a player of this caliber who is trying to maximize every million he can for what might be the last lucrative contract of his NFL career - which he should.

We will never know what exactly has been said or agreed between the player/agent(s)/front office.

I also believe other than aging vets, the idea of choosing a franchise based on merits other than money are overblown. If they do exist, they are most likely idiosyncratic (wife likes X city, has family in Y city) and not a commentary on any given team's public perception.
