All I know is if you don't want the player or even want him to take a cut, it is best to get it out of the way and move on.

They have been sitting on this for too long which suggests they really don't know what they are willing to do.

Sounds about right (Dallas FO). Almost thought SJ hinted at looking at long term perspectives but was then told that applies to all franchise QBs; just not the two in this draft (posters).:starspin:

There had to be a pretty high level of dissatisfaction by Robinson in the way he switched agents in the middle of negotiations.

He probably felt like his agent wasnt making a sufficient effort to maximize his contract. If his new agent got him a gig in Indy, then he was probably right.

"All but signed" is miles away from actually being signed.

I do think that is likely what he felt, and I don't think there is bad blood here with the Cowboys. I think they understand that this is an important deal for him and he wants to be thorough and probably feels like he wasn't properly represented.

It shouldn't be looked at as his reneging on the agreement rather him making sure this was the best deal out there before he committed.

He is 28, and this is probably his last chance to get a decent contract to provide security for his family.

Broddius broke down film on Robinson 10 starts last year in SD. Said he is similar to Carr. They lack burst and not good running with receivers but if they keep things in front of them they can get job done. Neither will get bunch of turnovers. Personally, I would rather this get addressed in draft with Ramsey (1st round) or William Jackson (2nd round).
