5. Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys could put a third grader under center and surround him with a bunch of farm animals, and they’d still be projected to go 9-7 with a shot at the NFC East title. They’re a little better than that, at least on offense. The Cowboys success this season rests on Tony Romo’s back. He’s recovering from his second back surgery in as many years, and will be limited in training camp. How will he fare come opening day? The Cowboys offense is stacked — Dez Bryant, DeMarco Murray, Jason Witten — but it won’t much matter if Brandon Weeden’s getting them the ball. The defense was terrible last season, and only got worse. Jason Hatcher is now a Commander, and DeMarcus Ware a Bronco. Defensive motor Sean Lee will be a spectator as he recovers from a torn ACL.

Don't be shocked when we're in the Super Bowl whooping up on the Bills in a few months.

I've already mailed it in this year but that's because of a gut feeling that were gonna get slammed with 5-11 bad luck. I'm not too sure I agree with this guy's reasoning.

I dont think hes off, if you had to pick the playoffs right now, are we confident (off season aside) we not only have enough to the make the playoffs, plus go to teh SB, what would you honestly say if 20,000 was on the line? You have two answers 1 gets you 20,000, are you honestly saying the Cowboys? No. its ok, but right now its truth. Do the games matter, sure, do the early games matter as much as the end, no, the Giants proved that wrong twice. Do 5 other teams in the NFC suck besides the Cowboys, sure. are we really holding our breaths for a SB berth no. Lets be brutality honest. I think we can hang our hats on a good offseason, did some really good things. I think we made good improvements, I think we allowed our draft to be a question mark right now, is that to say it wont be good, a few players are going to leave that open. I was happy with the draft, but lets face fact, this team was a far cry from the playoffs, (we got lucky because the division sucked, and dont go scream we were 3 time losers in one game) so lets not avoid facts. Now lets not also pretend the nfc east sat on its bum and didnt get better as well. Right now, no Dallas has no business being near the SB. Now since its a sport, some teams suck, injuires stuff liek that can affect, and im sure the happy fans wont mention if we got in because of injuries or anything of the sort, but it happens, as i said and i stand by it, No SB wins are given back and a win is a win is a win regardless of how you got it. It still remains as is, right now Dallas is no SB conteneder, for us to be a contender, factors have to go our way. Thats why people say every given Sunday, but still the better team doesnt always win and no one cares at the end of the day because no one is giving back a win.

It is damn irritating to see all the media heads put effort into analyzing other teams and then just completely stop when it comes to our squad. Cue to the joke bit, etc. Even when professional analysts make an attempt (outside of Irvin) to critically analyze our team without bias. They are then met to a panel of "ex player" know it alls who simply laugh off any data that was just presented with dismissive one liners and petty jokes regarding JJ/Romo. Saying the team will never win with JJ @ the helm should not be acceptable analysis from a sports journalism standpoint, but continually is unless Jimmy/Irvin are present to call out the BS.
